I wish I was able to see Sister Rosetta Tharpe perform.  I'm only 32. I just discovered her last yr.

Sister Rosetta Tharpe was one of the artists I heard for the first time at the 1967 Newport Folk Festival. She and Hedy West were the highlights for me at the Sunday morning gospel event. A historical plaque was unveiled 24Oct2011 at her North Philadelphia home. Listen up people!
