In America, yes there is freedom of religion. But not excuses for breaking the law! Everyone in America was given the right to "Pursuit Happiness". I'd be willing to give it if you are really interested, but would prefer to use Personal Messages so that it can be presented adequately. But, the key question is: Which side has the burden of proof? I would say that this cannot be established beyond question, so this dictates tolerance by both sides of the other position. That is the problem with attempts to stifle expression of the either position.

@ursodus In one thing you are correct Judgment begins in Gods house 1 Peter 4:17 but it is not what you think. After the rapture of the church 1 Thes 4:13-18 & 1 Cor 15:50-55 where all of Christianity will be before the Bema seat of Christ and judgment will be dispensed for reward or loss of reward.

Just because homosexual couples can't produce offspring, does that give religious fanatics free reins to harass, assault and violate their privacy? I am a christian, and I don't agree with bullying of anyone. It should not matter if they are gay or anything that does not fit with social or political norms, NO ONE SHOULD FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE TO KILL OR HARM THEMSELVES. I am not going to jump on the whole "wailing on the christians" bandwagon, tempting as it is, no. I just want to say that bullying to a child is like taking tiny bites day by day from their self-esteem and self worth, leaving them changed forever. They will never get that back and they will never be the same. This is even worse for the gay kids. I often wonder how I would be different had I not been bullied, I may never know.
