My father was in the British armed forces during the last war, and was trained to fight the Germans. I was born 18 years after the war ended, and was brought up to think in the same way. No, everything under Nazi Germany was mismanaged. Education, the economy, war production, military strategy, industry... everything! Yeah, Hitler was an economic genius. lol All he did was start re-arming the country and rebuilding the army. And Hitler was spending so much on rearmanent that he was putting Germany into serious debt and putting up inflation again. Schacht (Finance Minister up until 1937) resigned because he didn't agree with Hitler's economic policies because the massive spending on the military was ruining the economy. Hitler's whole plan was beef up the army and go to war and gamble on winning back his money

@maddingo12 Germany was ruined even before that. The Treaty of Versailles screw them taking off their Gold reserves; only the Dawes Plan save them during a small period 1924-1929 (Black Thursday). U.S took out again its gold reserves and investments (Primarly was only a excuse to sterilize its currency) with no gold reserves the country stuck stagnated again for this reason Hitler came up as a leader reducing unemployment and breaking the slavery payment imposed in 1919

On the picture, well known in Poland, you can see two sisters, one killed in bomb attack. If it is a part of the glory of "brave" German soldiers so damn them all. This song is not a Wehrmacht song but old Preussen XVIII or XIX century military song. It is not from Dresden!

Aye. My family fought on both sides, though they were not related at the time. People will taken something like WW2 and only focus in the actions of a few forgetting the sacrifice of ALL those who were involved whether they wanted to be or not.
