I was a kid when I saw those films. Were they set in the US? Were they "supposed" to be in the US? When a kid, I always thought they were in the US (and the actor´s "names" helped with that illusion).

Since they play american football in that movie, I would say yes, the fictious setting was supposed to be the US.

@rogerpenna Depends, many of them are located in the US, mostly Miami. The westerns were also in the US, doh. But there was one where they acted as doubles in Brasil and 2 movies (I think) in (south) Afrika, one on a pacific Island (you can see some senes of that one in this clip).

It's called "Non c'è due senza quattro", you can look it up on imdb . com. Personally I think it's their best movie apart from their italo westerns. Although, maybe it's not as funny in the original version. I am german and thus I am able to understand the famous german versions of their movies which are about 3 times funnier because they changed the dialogues and added hilarious phrases, even invented new words.
