@CWPVN - get off your high horse and understand that entertainment is entertainment, no matter what it's form - copy, original, old or whatever. People who live outside the west also deserve to enjoy the privilege of a good show and, even though I dislike this style of music, those who went had a great time. And that's all music is about - having a great time.
HRC is doing a good job giving us residents somewhere to go for a good night out while watching a band. They don't deserve criticism.
It's great to see the American Hitmen in this! Welcome back to the states, boys! Thank you Saigon and the Hard Rock for giving them such a brilliant welcome!
@CWPVN. We are trying to build a live music industry here which is not based around Viet Pop. Part of this is documenting it, giving both Saigon and this country some positive publicity. And part of this is about bringing in acts, both big and small, who can help boost the scene and provide entertainment at the same time. Every band, whether local or from abroad, every bit of exposure, every venue and every promoter out there taking the risk - they are all part of this.
@CWPVN. Yes, same same is an issue here. Which is why a lot of people right now talking about taking risks and trying to do something new. You've obviously not been following what's going on here too closely.
@Wordhcmc Full credit to those that are trying but what's new about it? Goldie and DMC are neither new nor different, and if you are talking about taking risks then I suspect you are referring to The Hi Fi. I think I have been following what is going on and I'm wondering when Saigon will be able to support more than a few "one night only" guests. It will be fantastic when it can, but in the meantime its just being dressed up as something that it's not.

"Look at what everyone else is doing and be original", shame that Vietnam has perfected looking at what everyone else is doing and being same same.
