@krierp8 I think I remember reading that Daily's singing style, hair, eye liner, beauty mark, bare midriff, etc., caused her to be perceived as sort of a counterfeit Madonna instead of a talent in her own right. Madonna was on the scene first, and a copy-cat (even an unintentional one) could not get far. Daily even pointed out that in a particular video (maybe this one) that "I never bit my lip once!", trying find some difference.
