Im trying to Run Naruto Shippuden 3 game on my Wii with Wiikey, at the menu you can select the game and the game even shows up there with Naruto saying something in japanese. But when i click start it all goes black why doesent the game load ?
There's something wrong with my game also but it's really weird.I can't use the chracters Peach,Pikmin and Olimar,and Pikachu.The game immediately shuts down when either of those characters show up on screen.Does anyone know why?
I can get it to work sometimes, but usually it wont read the disk. Sometimes the graphic will show up in the wii channel and I'll click on it and the screen goes black and comes back with the no disk image. When the game does work however, it definitely seems like the Wii is working extra hard to run this game. Maybe that's completely unrelated. No scratches on the back of the disc.
why just you guys download the homebrew channel and after that make A FOLDER IN THE SD CARD CALLED apps and then download gecko OS 1901 and then you can just put it in the apps folder after extracting it if you want me to show u i can make a video.

Im only 15 and they didnt ask shit to how old I was they only set brawl as a free game to fix. cause they know it wasnt are fault that the brawl games get reuned like this. so try it.
i have an original copy of the game too, and for the first time it played just fine, but since i got too addicted to SMBB, then i guess my wii played it for too long, then about a month later i got an error message telling me to remove the disc and turn my wii off immediately... now, I don't live in Brazil, where there is no Nintendo Costumer Support, so i'm screwed...
Your Wii is equiped whit a WiiKey ; then you're not able to play the original SSBB !! i can read it everywhere on the internet ! so your solution is to make backup FROM you original SSBB (that's legal) and it should work :) ! Try it and you'll see!

well to be honest mate im still playing those games BECAUSE they are good, why would i still want to play a game for a couple of years if its not any good (its a testiment to its quality). i have ps3/360 games ive stopped playing after a month or so and havent piiicked them up again since.

actually is not arcade, arcade game ares fun because you only aim and shot, reaload use items, but the most of shooters (90%) like cod, 007, etc requires movement which is done by moving the aim to the side you want to turn and this is hard cause it goes too slow or too fast, this games sucks, but other shooter game like Resident evil:UC that dosent require to move only to shot are fun with the why control

i have the same problem you just have to send it to nintendo for a repair and when you got your wii back, make sure it is not in dusty places or narrow places, and dont smoke near your wii.
this can all damage your lens.
ssbb uses a double layered disk and only works on clean lenses.

An unmodded wii is an unmodded wii, and a modded wii is a modded wii, but I don't believe the effect of the modchip neccessarily affects the wii! Your statement IS correct for the modchips that cannot bypass certain limits like reading certain copies of SMG or SSBB! That's it!
that isnt the REAL reason either. Modded Wiis with Wiikey chips need to be updated to work dual layer discs like Brawl! Before Brawl was released, Wiikey could only bypass as far as Super Mario Galaxy with the 1.9g update (g for galaxy)! Brawl has an update too of 1.9s (s for smash)! From the Wiikey website, you can be privileged to download the update onto a disc, play it in the wii and follow the prompts and brawl will WORK!
There is ONE simple answer. I always said that modchips almost always break something on consoles. In the Wii's case, the WiiKey changes the wavelength of the disc reader's laser, enabling it to read DVD-Rs. Unbeknownst to most, this often causes legit multi-layer Wii games to no longer read, SSBB being the best example of this.
Moral is: DO NOT CHIP YOUR WII! It will break your Wii!

There are many reason why that happens. One, Cd might be scratched; Brawl is Dual-Layered and is nearly impossible to get it scratched through normal gameplay. Even One small scratch meant I couldn't boot mine up. Second, even if the Wii was Region free (Which is not, unless you modded yours..), the dual-layered protection will kick in (Nintendo made it so you won't be able to identify the issue). Oh, by the way, you can't use a Japanese disk on a different region wii or vice versa.
You can replace the mod chip, (can't think how it will help,) or remove your mod chip. The mod chips weren't updated for use of a dual-layered disk on the wii. You can burn the brawl into a regular DVD CD and the protection will be disabled since the protection is on the CD, not the game...
Ok this happened 2 my friend he has a us copy though, and it says the same thing. This means ur lens is scratched. Trust me my friend had the same problem, it is because it is a dual-layer disc. Contact nintendo to repair

I've heard from my friend (Who's got sources) that Wiikey needs an update to play Brawl, and the only Brawl that works for the modded Wii is an edited version so it could fit on one disc, without any movies and only one player, but is still playable. It cannot read the movies or play two player, and as long as the mod chip is in there, it cannot even play an original, so don't waste your money buying or renting it. Just wait for a week or so for the update to come out.

Hey guys, I successfully dumped the US version of SSBB with Friidump 0.4.0 and burned it using imageburn 2.4.0.0. My Wii is modded with a Wiikey and it is working great. If you need help getting it to work, send me a message.

ROFL this worked for me too, I am not kidding.. It would get to the screen where the guy was a idiot hitting his furniture then it would say now loading then said it couldn't read the disk.
Pick up your Wii and blow in old school style and remember the old days where this fixed everything.
Okay mine can't read again.. If I completly turn off Wii (hold power until I get the red) light when I turn it off, it works perfect. What the hell is up with this machine.
i updated my wii (with a wiiKey installed) all the way 100%. my wii still works but SSBB still get disk error. I haven't tried playing back up yet, but i am pretty sure they still work.

There is a way to get around this problem if you have a Wiikey and you can't play SSBB. I tried it two times and it works fine for me.
Update your Wiikey (any version would do), during the update process (not the checking) when it gets around 50-75% ( I chose 60). Unplug your wii. This will make your wii firmware complete undetectable. After you reboot your wii, it will be able to play SSBB.
To make your Wiikey work again, use the wiikey 1.3 recovery dics, but you cant play SSBB again.
Brawl fails with wii key installed. I had to take mine out before I could play it. Other problems, according to Nintendo's site, are related to the fact that brawl is a dual-layer disc. Any slight amount of dirt on the lens will cause it to not read. Mine would play Galaxy too and anything else but brawl refuses to work.
We're three people with wiikeys, we bought two Smash bros brawl original CD's. One of my friends couldn't update his console to the mario galaxy version, so he couldn't get it to work. I could and another friend could. We both can't run Smash on our consoles but the one that didn't update could make it work. I will reset to defaults my Wiikey, maybe the SMG update made it to fail.

if u have a mod chip it would NEVER work and also youre screwed because it voids the warranty, and also if it dont have a mod chip youre screwed too because you need youre lenses clean, but it dosent void the warranty so u can send it back to Nintendo to get the lenses cleaned out

It happened to my Wii too also was modded.
But even it turned worse cuz sometimes It could read the SSBB disc at least, but a different error message appears in blank screen with white text.
But the worst thing is that the same problem happens with the UPDATE of Wiikey.
I can still play other games (Mario galaxy and even NGC games) but I can't play on SSBB anymore until find out a way to update my Wiikey. :(

An unmodded wii is an unmodded wii, and a modded wii is a modded wii, but I don't believe the effect of the modchip neccessarily affects the wii! Your statement IS correct for the modchips that cannot bypass certain limits like reading certain copies of SMG or SSBB! That's it!

that isnt the REAL reason either. Modded Wiis with Wiikey chips need to be updated to work dual layer discs like Brawl! Before Brawl was released, Wiikey could only bypass as far as Super Mario Galaxy with the 1.9g update (g for galaxy)! Brawl has an update too of 1.9s (s for smash)! From the Wiikey website, you can be privileged to download the update onto a disc, play it in the wii and follow the prompts and brawl will WORK!

There is ONE simple answer. I always said that modchips almost always break something on consoles. In the Wii's case, the WiiKey changes the wavelength of the disc reader's laser, enabling it to read DVD-Rs. Unbeknownst to most, this often causes legit multi-layer Wii games to no longer read, SSBB being the best example of this.
Moral is: DO NOT CHIP YOUR WII! It will break your Wii!

There are many reason why that happens. One, Cd might be scratched; Brawl is Dual-Layered and is nearly impossible to get it scratched through normal gameplay. Even One small scratch meant I couldn't boot mine up. Second, even if the Wii was Region free (Which is not, unless you modded yours..), the dual-layered protection will kick in (Nintendo made it so you won't be able to identify the issue). Oh, by the way, you can't use a Japanese disk on a different region wii or vice versa.

You can replace the mod chip, (can't think how it will help,) or remove your mod chip. The mod chips weren't updated for use of a dual-layered disk on the wii. You can burn the brawl into a regular DVD CD and the protection will be disabled since the protection is on the CD, not the game...

I've heard from my friend (Who's got sources) that Wiikey needs an update to play Brawl, and the only Brawl that works for the modded Wii is an edited version so it could fit on one disc, without any movies and only one player, but is still playable. It cannot read the movies or play two player, and as long as the mod chip is in there, it cannot even play an original, so don't waste your money buying or renting it. Just wait for a week or so for the update to come out.

the disc causes the lens 2 get contaminated. u have 2 send the console as well as the game to nintendo and they will fix it 4 free. buying another SSBB will not solve the problem!!!!!

I HAVE SOLVED MY DISC READ ERROR!!
The problem lies within the lens of the wii. Here is exactly my process:
Took out the disc. blew into the drive, NES style. Repeat.
Put Disc in. While it's loading blow in it some more. It then immediately picked up the disc and updated my wii.
let me know if this works for anyone. good luck, and keep blowing.

ROFL this worked for me too, I am not kidding.. It would get to the screen where the guy was a idiot hitting his furniture then it would say now loading then said it couldn't read the disk.
Pick up your Wii and blow in old school style and remember the old days where this fixed everything.

i updated my wii (with a wiiKey installed) all the way 100%. my wii still works but SSBB still get disk error. I haven't tried playing back up yet, but i am pretty sure they still work.

I've got the same genuine region disk with a wiikey 1.9v SMG is working , ssbb JPN working

There is a way to get around this problem if you have a Wiikey and you can't play SSBB. I tried it two times and it works fine for me.
Update your Wiikey (any version would do), during the update process (not the checking) when it gets around 50-75% ( I chose 60). Unplug your wii. This will make your wii firmware complete undetectable. After you reboot your wii, it will be able to play SSBB.
To make your Wiikey work again, use the wiikey 1.3 recovery dics, but you cant play SSBB again.

This 'Disc Error' is a well known problem now.
According to Nintendo: You have to sent your Wii console to them so that they can 'clean' it.

Brawl fails with wii key installed. I had to take mine out before I could play it. Other problems, according to Nintendo's site, are related to the fact that brawl is a dual-layer disc. Any slight amount of dirt on the lens will cause it to not read. Mine would play Galaxy too and anything else but brawl refuses to work.

We're three people with wiikeys, we bought two Smash bros brawl original CD's. One of my friends couldn't update his console to the mario galaxy version, so he couldn't get it to work. I could and another friend could. We both can't run Smash on our consoles but the one that didn't update could make it work. I will reset to defaults my Wiikey, maybe the SMG update made it to fail.

if u have a mod chip it would NEVER work and also youre screwed because it voids the warranty, and also if it dont have a mod chip youre screwed too because you need youre lenses clean, but it dosent void the warranty so u can send it back to Nintendo to get the lenses cleaned out
