  • How come so few saved the big luxury cars (we had a 67 Electra). But I only see mid size Chevys etc from that era around here.

  • Buick Cad, Pontiac, olds need to make a real car again, big block and like a tank. I know it would never happen but it sure would be cool

  • I have a Sorento and it weighs approx 5600 lbs.I dont see how my relatively small SUV can weigh 1600lbs more than a big car like this.I dont believe this car only weighs 4000lbs.I once saw a 1975 Coupe De Ville & it weighed 6600lbs & is only a few inches longer than this car, sumpin aint right.

  • chompychomps) 4,000 lbs my ass that car is more like 6,500lbs!!!! a 1980 to 1992 fullsize cadillac sedan deville is 4,000 lbs and is alot smaller with a smaller engine! anything from 1977 and back is alot heavier big block car built stronger alot more steel involved ...full frame the guage of the frame is thicker so is the panels...

  • Nice association of Wine with driving. Can't get these candy-ass ad people to do something like that anymore.

  • I like the snappy little song in the background!

  • Misleading - did they put red wine in those glasses or jelly. The close ups they showed was it on a dynamo or the road. The fuzzy pictures makes me suapicious. Great car anyway.

  • Anything weighing 45 tons is going to soak up the bumps.

  • Uh, try 4,000 lbs. The soft ride part is true, but you have to run the bias tires. Radials, while much more efficient, cost you much comfort.

  • cant believe they drilled holes in it!!

  • Good luck trying to find metal to drill on a modern car! Anyway, what a car! I've always been a huge fan of those big 4-door hardtops of GM's from the 60's and early 70's but, I make no secret of it, the '67 Electra 225 Limited is and always will be my all-time favorite. I sure wish I was an adult back then, because I would've been first in line at the Buick dealer to buy one. My dad always told me NOTHING rode as smoooooooooth as a Buick Electra, and you better believe that commercial!

  • I have a '67 Electra convertible. Basically the same car as shown here, but with two doors and a convertible top. It rides very well, and it is a sharp car. Gotta love the old Buicks!

  • Lucky you to have that convert! Were you able to get a convert top with a headlining and real glass for a back window? I always felt that having an unlined top with exposed metal bows and a plastic rear window on converts never "looked right" - especially on a high-end luxury car. Hopefully, one day I'll come across a pristine '67 4-door hardtop.

  • I have one and the real key to that sort of soft ride is the original bias tires. When I replaced them with radials, it was much firmer, but was safer and made better mileage, of course.

  • I have a 1969 electra 225, ill post it hopefully tomorrow.....(it looks like the coolest car ever) (badly damaged under carrage tho)
