  • how do you seperate them and print them to the mesh screen

  • @0oBABYxVEEo0 We do our separations using Photoshop and burn them via photo emulsion to the screens.

  • Rad dude...

  • so is it all just prints of the same halftone or do you like separate parts of the image

  • @Arqhtect The entire image is separated into halftones of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. The separations are not exactly the same but yet what is needed to print slightly overlapping to allow the ink to mix and create new colors.

  • ty

  • What mesh do you use? Also have you tried solvent-base CMYK on plastics that is the business I am currently starting we print political signs and such.

  • @Ambrosiation 305 mesh.

  • are you fucking nuts!!

  • Does it matter what order you print the colours in?

  • @JakeThink We typically print in C, M, Y, then K. But different orders may yield a better print depending on the design. Try different orders to see which yields the best outcome on the design you're printing.

  • Can you do this over a dark colour fabric?

  • @KnockoffNigeI Yes, using a white or discharge halftone underbase.

  • Very nice work

  • wow lottta pinholes.....Just kidding

  • Is that PVC or water based ink?

  • Very good work!

  • fucking sick!

  • Very nice! What kind of ink are you using? Please....

  • @usgalau In this video we used One Stroke brand process colors. They are plastisol.

  • WOW!!!

  • Sweet

  • whats the name of the paint???plizz help

  • much respect that was amazing

  • Don't you have trouble printing with a 305 mesh silkscreen on most fabrics?

  • @thedevo01 Not at all. 305s are necessary to print the fine halftones needed for process printing.

  • Nice screen printing video! We've posted a few how-to's as well.

  • wow

  • I must ask how do you avoid Moiré with out angling the screen? I have to do a stochastic separation but even then I find out that a least one of my colours will contain Moiré if you use a Moiré calculator could you let me know what one and how to use it?

  • @Dreamsarefragile you have to set your dot angles at least 15 degrees from the next color...one i've always used to C-15, M-45, Y-75, K-75....i dont know why, but that setup works pretty good for my stuff...

  • what screen mesh are you using

  • @rayraythejet 305s.

  • I love the extreme close up video.............

  • wow that must have been hell to register

  • are all the screen printing racks or whatever you call them the same?

in other words, are all the images(the holes that make the image) the same on the racks?

  • kewl

  • hey is this Anthony B - Raid the Barn Dub?

  • @littleRastaman Yes. It's the Holding Firm riddim...

  • awsome

  • Nice!

Well hey i jus got my screen printing video up! Come and support it thanks!

  • very nice work....what resolution was the artwork in to print with the 305 mesh screens?

  • @rrelisu 300dpi output at 55LPI.

  • Very impressed. Didn't know this was possible for silk screen. Will be in touch soon.

  • well done

  • this is wicked, am about to start doing some CMYK tees and I do alot of CMYK prints...! makes it look so fast having a carousel

  • you dont understand! i would give a limb to know how this proses works. im tired of just using one color halftone for my tee shirts!!!

  • @BigSebs Four color process is halftone printing at various angles. Each color is printed wet on wet and as the cyan, yellow, magenta and black overlay each other in greater or lesser amounts the colors mix and give the appearance of infinite colors and gradients. Designs come alive!

  • @BigSebs 4 color process to me is the easiest way to separat the colors. corel does it all. bring the pic in corel, set the size you want. go to print, select the seperations tab, then check the box in print seperations. Voilaa Hit print. your 4 colors will be printed on film with the correct halftones for each color (cyan, magenta, yeallow and black). Make sure to use a 305 mesh screen. GL

  • Extaordinaire!

  • Hey guys! Is that waterbased or plastisol ink?

  • @jimhack3 These are plastisol process inks.

  • @kingscreendotcom I see. CMYK can create thousands of colors just by using those four, (CMYK), colors correct? Thanks again you guys!

    Continued Success!!

  • how do you do that fading effect between colors?

  • what kind of screens did you use???

  • @choche64 20" x 24" 305 mesh.

  • awesome!!

  • You are off the hook! Very Nice! Can photoshop do the seperations, or...?

  • @jimhack3 We do all of our separations using Photoshop.

  • where do you print your artwork?paper or acetate?

  • @dementedjuan These separations were output on transparency film. We use vellum paper also.

  • is it wet on wet

  • @joerock00 yes

  • This is fkin awesome. Good job, man.

  • Is there a particular order when screen printing the colors>?

  • baller!

  • wow!

  • auz ahh.. astig!

  • aztig ang galing nyo gumawa ng printer ..parang compyuter ptint gawa nyo..

  • I've done some screen printing for fine art, painting directly onto the screen from a life model... but nothing as cool as that

  • If i have taken a photo and i want to put it on a T , who would i take it to , to get it done well instead of those bloody iron on places ? That T looked sick !

  • @MrOceanfire CMYK Process screen printing caters to mass production. If you want to print only one or two, I would recommend finding someone who offers DTG (Direct To Garment) printing.

  • Thanks heaps mate ! Rippa

  • This is extremely impressive and inspiring. Thanks for posting!

  • nice job. would love to have that film to print a few shirts.

  • D:!!!

i cant even get a simple bold disign to get printed on a shirt

this is impresive to me :>

  • How does the images thickness compare to, say a butt registration where you might have a underbase and a color... whereas this has 4 layers?

Is the image thicker and feel heavier?

  • @chrama1 Process inks actually have a very soft hand. Even when an under base is being printed, process inks have a feel similar to water based inks.

  • what do you use to prepare the colour separations?

  • @kiashadowwave Separations for this design were done using Photoshop CS3.

  • @kiashadowwave Photoshop CS3

  • Can you use water-based ink?? instead of plastisol

  • @phockinazn Water base process inks are available.

  • Very Impressive!

So what would the screen mesh count be for something this detailed?

  • @arsonist511 For this video, we used 305 mesh screens with a high detail graphics emulsion.

  • How do you prepare screen for CMYK? I mean, how you irradiate emulsion, do you use for this some special tools? Is it similar to method from this video /watch?v=Ee_8IMx0uMo ?

  • @StaxxxInMyJeans The process is the same as standard spot color screen printing. The only differences are with mesh count, color separations and the inks themselves.

  • whats the name of the song playing ??

  • @kamilnj21 It's the instrumental to Sizzla - Holding Firm

  • Thanx :D

  • wtf?

  • Good job

  • is it possible to do a video tutorial on separating these colors and having them ready for screen printing using a real image like this one? Also would you be able to do one on black shirts?

Ive tried my cmyk experiment on real photos and the skin tone comes out a blue-ish hue.

  • wow o.o

  • what lpi did u use?

  • 75 lpi

  • wow, simply amazing.

  • how does the halftone process work

  • que buen tutorial me gustaria saber si sabes hacer la separacion de colores cmyk para una ceda numero 100 amarilla _para policromia aver si me la enseñas me serviria bastante muchas gracias.

  • What type of textile paint did you use?

  • The garment used in the video is an Al-Style 5562 Junior Sheer Tee.

  • Wow!

  • For the seperations, did you use halftones for each screen?

  • @megamatt103 Yes. We used halftone process color separations and printed using high mesh screens.

  • Lets say Im a cleint coming to you to get that design done how much would it cost to print that design per pc

  • how do you separate the colors?

  • Different people separate process colors in different ways. There are lots of online tutorials for process separations. Find which way works best for your needs. Good luck!

  • Hi im a new beginner at this, i have many designs finished on my pc, but 2 get it on a shirt, where 2 begin, any advice ? what do i purcase ? thanks..!

  • excelent job man. i am so interested in getting into this. what work station, dryer, exposure light, printer do you recomend? thanx in advance as ive been trying to narrow things down and would like the advice of an expert.

  • If you're just starting out, you don't need top of the line equipment. You may decide you hate screen printing! My advice is to check your local Craigslist for used equipment cheap and/or workshops in your area.

  • Class!!!

  • If I want to print on black t-shirts, the white base must be dryed first or can I print the rest of the colors on that base but whitout drying like the video?

  • Dark garments require a white underbase which would be flashed before having the process colors printed wet on wet over top. This design was also printed on black tees.

  • What about the flash?

  • Process colors are printed wet on wet so they can mix to create the look of infinite colors.

  • Does printing wet on wet also apply for printing on paper?

  • Yes. The process inks mix within themselves when printed wet on wet to create the full spectrum.

  • does it matter what order I print first?

  • As a general rule, we always print Cyan first and Black last. We may change the print order of Yellow and Magenta depending on what looks best based on the design. We tried both ways for this design and felt that printing Yellow first yielded the best final print.

  • way cool

  • Hi! Great job, i would like to know if it's possible to do that kind of job on dark t-shirts?

    Thanks

  • Yes it is. We ran this same design on black tees using a first down white base under print.

  • Do you use a regular white plastisol ink for the base or something else?

  • We used a traditional plastisol white with a soft hand additive.

  • Is it the same screen on all three? what computer program did you use to make your negative images for each color?

  • No. There are four screens with the image separated into C, Y, M, and K; a screen for each. Separations were done using Photoshop CS3.

  • You guys are brilliant. may I have permission to include this video on my website???

  • Thanks! Absolutely!

  • that is sick!

    damn!!!

  • WOOOOOOOWW!!! so awesomeee!! i thought those kind of printing was with a printer or something!! wooooww!! so awesome really!!

  • coja dato carajo!!!! xDD mas venezolana imposible este semestre haremos desastre en ese laboratorio [^^]

  • nice one.. but why yellow first instead of magenta??

  • We did a number of test prints of various print orders to decide which provided the most brilliant print. Printing CYMK yielded the best final print.

  • what screen mesh are you using for the process? I am a flexographer just starting into screen printing... great looking print!

  • This design was printed using 305 mesh screens and high detail graphics emulsion.

  • Wow!!! Nice!!! What's color you used on this case? On water base or another type of?

  • The print is done using process plastisol inks. Cyan(C), Magenta(M), Yellow(Y) and Black(K).

  • great design and a nice job!!

I'm using TXR at the moment for emulsion.

do you mind if i ask what that emulsion is?

    looks nice smooth and glossy.

    cheers. =)

  • The emulsion is not special, what makes it seem glossy is the light reflect. and the fact that its a high grade mesh count.

  • Woke up this morning, don't believe what I saw - hundred billion colors on a t-shirt on a t-shirt that left me in awe.

  • what kind of music on playing it's awesome.

  • hi what kind of malla use to make cmyk prints

  • Wow! Looks Great!

  • Cool print. Nicely done.

  • wait wait wait.... its not easy lining that up though huh....

  • King Screen is no joke, they hold it DOWN! Very great work!
