  • Very touching......

  • Now this is something our generation needs, you don't find touching songs like this these days

  • NICE SONG!!!!!

  • NICE

  • I wish someday these singer will gather and sing again... the younger singers really need inspiration from them

  • One of my favorite Mandarin song of all times. Love it!

  • Dedicated to my new colleagues. Of whom I only know the numbers and not the names.

  • I can barely recognize the singers in the MV....haha....the only person i can recognize is fei yu qing...and that is because of his voice!!! haha...

    But nice song!!!!

  • this song reminds me of our high school life, we sang this song at our school, it is so memorable.

  • this song makes me so happy

  • fantastic song.... bringing back memories when i was in Taiwan in 1985. Wow 25 years on ...

  • Hay nhưng mà hình không có đẹp.

    Hao ting, bu hao kan.

  • Hey I think "Tomorrow will be even better" or "Tomorrow will be much better" is a better translation.

    Just a humble opinion!

  • lolz they look so different from now =)

  • HAHAHA FEI YU QING

  • 2:15 is the best (:

  • One of the most moving songs ever ! Oldies but goodies !

  • lets do something for Haiti

  • the first guy was constipated, but have a very unique voice that i have never heard before.

  • damn they all good..

  • do u have the mp3 of this song?

  • 2:15 singer has a great vocal, who is he?

Fei Yu Qing

  • who's the second singer? i like him a lot.

  • 2nd singer = 余天, the singer at 2:15 = 费玉清, the lady at 1:47=林 慧萍

  • may i knw who is that at 1:47? i tink she is the hottest among the ladies.

  • why no one type chinese ? I do.

  • I remember this song came out in the same year as "We are the World" by USA for Africa. One is Chinese & the other is English version. I love both of them.

  • This song really touched me, its old, but its good.

  • I am so movied. It does bring back those days to me

  • One of my favorite songs. There are different versions, this definitely is one of the best.

It should become the hymn of human mankind - a lot better than "yes we can"

  • im soo sad now that im watching this song again because a someone special dedicated this to me. I now regret that i rejected him because he is moving on with someone new.

  • who was the first singer? she is really pretty. :DD

  • She's Wang Zhi Lei, a Malaysian singer who was the voice behind the theme songs of many Taiwanese drama serials in the 80s.

  • Listening to this song somehow reminds me of my childhood... and I'm 14...

  • @blazingedge2907

damn! you are still at your childhood!!!

    and i am really old

  • @yoshinosakura hahahahhahahhaa it's just that my grandma who recently passed away used to play this song... and im quite a nostalgic person : D

  • who's the singer at 1:13? I've heard her voice before..

  • I don't know, but for a second, she sounds like Teresa Teng.

  • awesome song!!

  • old song but nice

  • What year was this video???

  • Like...80's 90's

  • Olden day singers have greater calibre. Rely on mostly pure singing talent rather than good looks alone, unlike modern boy/girl bands. Good looking but can't sing.

  • Agree.Old songs always can get you to listen over and over again even after a long time.Unlike now...

  • Yes fully agreed. My dad used to play tonnes of music at home, and I grew up listening to wonderful music in both Chinese and English, yet have never an idea how most of them looked like. I suppose of the Carpenters are around today, the lead singer would have been dismissed by many!

  • @redstonest I AGREE. WHAT THE HECK IS THIS JAY CHOU BUSINESS.

  • who's the girl at 1.09?

  • She's Lin Hui Ping, a Taiwanese singer who was famous in the 80s up to the 90s.

  • faye yu chin without a suit? that's a first

  • yes

    africa starvivng ppl

  • one of the most endearing songs i have heard thus far, and i didnt expect to find this original video of the singers performing this song. fantastic !!!

  • The artists are mostly from Taiwan & with some from Hong Kong, but on the start of the video it said "Various artists from Taiwan"? They are not all from Taiwan.

  • Actually there are quite a few from Malaysia and Singapore too. It was meant to pool together singers from the four big Chinese music markets outside China proper.

  • This song is so beautiful!

  • Was this song dedicated to some event that happened in the time?

  • this makes me think of "we are the world" done by USA.

  • Between China , Hong Kong and Taiwan , I think this is the best song ever written. Hong Kong song writers and singers please catch up. Mind you I'm from Hong Kong but feel ashamed of song writing also poor singer's voices

  • You were born in the late 80s and you actually enjoy this clip? That's kinda surprising coz I was born in the 60s but I can never imagine myself listening to any Mandarin 60's oldies when I was a teenager, haha... Times have changed I guess, these so-called oldies (from the 80s) are not so old sounding after all if young people can still enjoy them. During my time in the 80s it was quite unimaginable to like 60's Mandarin pop, LOL.

  • good song!!

  • Oh my goodness, this is totally awesome!

I really miss the 80s, so many great singers at that time.

Actually it didn't stop there, after that more giants popped out - Dave Wang Jie, Tom Zhang Yu Sheng, Angus Tung An Ge, Zhao Chuan, Jeremy Zhang Hong Liang, Emil Zhou Hua Jian, Sky Wu Si Kai etc etc....it was a fantstic era for Mandarin music.

    Can't say the same about today's standard....sigh.... :(

  • the days when singing was just about singing, no plastic surgeries or fashion statements whatsoever.. they had disabled person as part of the singers in this video, can u ever imagine that happen today? i so totally missed those days too. literally missed it, i was born in the late 80s.

  • great song!

  • you all so professional and how you know them name??

  • i just download all the stuff from internet, then share to all.

  • Although this song is much older than me, i still enjoy it! I can sense the truthfulness from both the singers and the lyrics. All the beauties are natural. Despite the lack of advancement in sound system, i can still differeniate their simple and vigorous vocal skills. Appreciate your effort for uploading this video. Hope to see more of them in future!

  • Lan Xin Mei is in it too? Gosh.. =D

  • thanks for you answer.

  • where is 江惠 in the video?

and who's the singer at 3.03?

    I'm so curious!!! thanks!

  • Anyone remembers why this song was made?

  • so classic so retro haha

  • love Su Rui,

her high notes are the best!

  • which one is su rui

can tell me at which part

  • su rui is the one at 0.43

  • Thanks for telling me!Cheers!
