@antowain1 THE SAMPLES IN EPMD'S SONG IS FROM "JUNGLE BOOGIE" BY KOOL AND THE GANG, AND 'WE WANT THE FUNK" BY GEORGE CLINTON AND PARLIAMENT. "FAIRPLAY" BY SOUL II SOUL CAME OUT YEARS AFTER EPMD'S SONG.....xoxo
Good Times, Good Tunes...Part of a scene.......what the f**k happened between then and now, its all gone to shit these days, maybe im getting old...lol....sound like my parents!!!
Love this tune so much... I had affliations with soul2soul... my older brother is one of the dancers in the 'fairplay' video... 'cos it's all about expressions... express yourself'.
LOOOOOOOOOVED this song and I STILL do!!! Rose laid this song out!!!! "Keep on Movin'", "Back II Life" and "Fair Play" are my favorites off "Keep on Movin'".
Bought this when it first came out for 2.99 from the Our Price that used to be between Leicester Square and Picadilly Circus. Soul II Soul, the sound of young London 89-91.
Haven't heard this for donks. Reminds me of the good old days when we used to rave without any probs. Everyone just had a good time. Thanks for posting
That's why I hate this new technology (YouTube). I get wrapped up in some of these jams and can't leave it alone (should have been doing homework). But it's all good. I find many of my long-lost classics and even get to see videos that I never knew existed. Anyway, "keep on movin'-don't stop." (smile)
It's a great song - Fairplay by Soul II Soul which initially came out in 1988 but seemed to become more known in 1989. I have the Freestyle Horns version of this song on 12" Vinyl Record.
after you listen to this then listen to epmd "so what ya sayin" yes folks epmd did sample this.
