  • can a digi 003 be used with Volta? Thanx for the video

  • @deadlover73 Volta needs a DC coupled audio interface, which the 003 is not. Also, there is currently no RTAS variant of Volta, so you would not to run Volta inside pro tools anyway.

  • @stretta thank you streta, i sent digi an email, they said they dc coupled..

would i still need to make the special cables if its dc coupled?

dont plan on using it w protools just dont have another interface

  • @deadlover73 I wouldn't take their word for it. There are simple methods to test for DC coupling. If it is, you'll be able to use the synced LFOs, step sequencers and send ramp automation, but it is unlikely the inputs will calibrate, so a 1v/oct pitch control isn't going to happen.

  • What happened to constructive replies... C'mon people!

  • Pro-sumer Gear war on!!!

  • Sucks, Alesis Master control is far better then this Shit, It has no Audio line Inputs, not Phantom power mIc acceptable, this is only a controller, with transport and it cost about 1200 $ , while Alesis master control has everything that a musician need. everything in One piece.and that cost only 900$.

Alesis Master Control is Best, Best and best

  • LOL! Where did you get that nonsense from?

If you are looking for a controller Mackie MCU's are the definite way to go.

Alesis Mastercontrol is a piece of plastic jibberish. It even feels and handles like a toy...something along the lines of a MyFirst Sony.

  • LOL

In todays world of Music only those products are successfull that can handle Audio and Midi at the same time consuming minimum space and easy to use,

Just see any demo vdo of ALESIS master controll very carefully and then point it negatively.

This MAKIE's shit is just a formal controller, a behringer product can do the same job as it can.

    LOL

  • Hey if you wanna buy a Alesis controller be my guest. You'll come knocking at their door after 4 weeks when the control wheel breaks, cause it has the quality of a dinky toy.

If you so desperately want audio inputs get a M-Audio Projectmix I/O.

And Behringer? Just the comparison by you with that brand states how bad you know your way around studio gear and build quality.

I've sold and tested all of this stuff for over 4 years.

  • You know what it is....these folks who cry this only have so much money so they want one device to be everything! I for one want a controler to be just that a controler the only hybrid i will use is the AWS 900

    or the Fusion by Euphonics.

ON the low end I use a Classic Mackie Hui that works well and offers a real meter bridge and scribble strips

I use it with Nuendo and of course Pro tools!

  • Are you serious?

Alesis Master Control can not be extended like the MCU can. From experience I've found it's more elegant to have your audio interfacing seperate from your control surface device. Prior to owning a MCU-Pro and two MC-EXT's, I was using a Yamaha 01X as an audio interface and MC emulator - there's no comparison to the real deal.

  • Hey man I was thinking about buying a mcu , will it work well with a digi 003 rack, maybe a dumb question, but im a dumb guy who needs a little advice. thanks

  • Hi, i've been using the very same setup with a macbook pro for a few years now and it works fine.

  • @conway661 they are completely different pieces of equipment. Your digi 003 is an audio interface. Are you asking if the mcu works well with protools?

  • omg dude do you know the diff between a controler and a mixer???

  • The Alesis is cheap in price and cheaply made! Its such a Toy!!!!!

Get the Fk outta here with that Alesis crap!
