  • I love the frame roll as they switch the un-genlocked nine feed to air.

  • It's funny because the quality of this video would be better than the majority of tv's back in 1999 relying on bunny antenna ears!

  • Why is there a WIN Television Ident at the beginning for a station which is Channel Nine. I know that WIN purchased WIN in Perth and Adelaide but that was in 2007 or something.

  • Hey Tom.

Before October 2007, WIN Regional SA used to air National Nine News from Adelaide after their 6pm local news. I'd say that's where Digital Dan got his recording from. :)

  • I see. I was wondering why there wasn't a "dodgey WIN coverup". I guess these were the days when WIN and Nine were consistent with each other.

  • Yes, before 2001, WIN & Nine in the eastern states were very consistent with each other (WIN only went off network during local news' & Fishing Australia on Saturdays).

But in South Australia between 1999 & 2004, even with WIN there taking on Nine's look, they still aired a lot of programs from Ten & Seven & even closed transmission at night. Yet, that ended in '04 with WIN SA going with full-time Nine programming until 2007 when they switched to Seven (as you know).

    A bit weird...

  • If WIN covers Channel Seven in regional South Australia, then how do they recieve Nine? Let me guess... Imparja!

If Seven News is shown on WIN, then are there any coverups on the news as WIN always seem to do. Or is it "screw Nine's logo, but Ten and Seven's are ok".

Does anyone have a capture of WIN as a Seven afflilate (promos, news etc.). It would be interesting to see.

  • Well, if you live in the northern half of SA than you'd have to rely on Imparja for Nine programming. But in south east regional SA, viewers weren't getting Nine content at all from 2007. That changed a couple of weeks ago when WIN Corp started their third channel in the area called 'WIN9' which I believe is a straight feed of NWS9 with some local ads inserted. I heard that WIN9 don't have a problem with Nine's balls either!

As for WIN SA (Seven), I heard they don't cover Seven's logo at all!

  • WIN show Nine News beofre their local news. THough in SA they now show 7news

  • probably the last time NWS had a good presentation package for the News
