@8lig So, ultimately, the federal government is prohibited from printing fiat money since there is not specific authorization for it in the Constitution. The States are also prohibited from printing fiat currency because Article 1 Section 10.1 limits States to only using gold or silver as money.

This goes deeper. The principle- correct as it is- it to cut foreign spending across the board such that those resources can be used to help US people.
