This is my problem with Jasmine Star- She has no real passion for photography. For her it is just a means to an end. The end of course being her pseudo fame and fortune. Some of her business ideas are good but it's all just stuff that David Jay drilled into her head. In a very real way she was manufactured by him to become what she is- a mediocre photographer who has made thousands off bored housewives who dream of something more than the nightmare they are trapped in.

Well what can I say! I am so inspired by Jasmine Star. I can't wait to spend probably most of my day now checking out any more stuff like this on Creative Live. What a gift. Been floundering around for the last 18 months after deciding to make my hobby into a career move success and finally feel like I have just heard someone demystify what I was beginning to feel was unachievable.

@EMIBLOOMPHOTOGRAPHY I wish artists would quit trying to pretend that gear has nothing at all to do with the process. For instance, the SAME photographer with a DSLR will take better pictures than with a disposable camera. The SAME photographer will take a better picture with an L-lens equivalent compared to a stock kit lens. The SAME photographer can take a better picture with a lighting setup than with the stock camera flash. Good photographer with better gear = better results

oops...my below comment was meant to be a message to my friend who is also a wedding photographer. I happen to admire J*'s work, personality and most of all her thought process. Since my friend is very short on time, I simply wanted him to watch from the 28 min mark going forward. I hope no one misconstrues this as if the first quarter was totally worthless or anything! lolol Keep up the Great work, J!!! -NYC Fan

great video but the thing that confuses me is she says her wedding photographer who charges like 12k for a wedding referred a girl to her that could only spend $1,000 on a wedding and whos total cost of a wedding was like 8k, why would she even contact David Jay about wedding photography on such a tight budget??
