I'm sure Ashanti had much auto - tune done, because (well at least, then) her live performances differed a lot to what she sounds like on recorded song. Back then, nobody knew auto - tune was happening. I'd just presume, they sounded different because they were walking, dancing or nervous idk, but I never thought a singer couldn't sing. I think a lot people had similar thoughts. She might have improved now, but no way is this pure talent! 'Cept for Biggie.
