@shiryu1985 if so you might try to power off phone the boot in to magldr by powering up and hold power key untill it boots to magldr then go to usb flasher option wait then plug into pc
@shiryu1985 also are you trying to install a nand rom or sd rom as sd roms keep windows on phone and nand roms wipe windows from phone i use nand as i don't like windows you might try my other video if you don't want windows on phone just look at my other videos i have 3 this is the best way in the video CMW ,ADNROID NAND ,HTC HD2
@yugi307 a cooked rom is rom thats not stock to the phone or one that has been pulled from a phone and tweaked to work better i am running android 2.3.5 with sense on my htc hd2 now :)
Hi again, I hope all is well with you and yours. I had another motherboard but the lcd connection is not so good. I tried connecting it anyway and I got sound very little, but no video. So after not seeing anything, I put the bricked board back in and I don't get video now so, I'm looking on Ebay of course and I see a board that has the android gingerbread 2.3 already installed for $110. What's your opinion? Do you think I should get it?
@letigirl62 hello all is good here :) not sure what to say on motherboard i have never changed one i have seen a thing on ebay that does a jtag to the mother board but not sure if its going to fix they say it fixes bricked phones you might check into that also in this video i think i have a link that clams a it can unbrick phones other than that if you know how to change the board then it might be worth a shot but thats all up to you but please let me know how it turns out :) for you

@letigirl62 that sucks sorry to hear about phone . so it does nothing at all even when you hold down the volume down while you power up ? do you here any sound when you plug it in to pc like a ping or any thing ? you might try pushing the reset button on back of phone its the little red or yellow dot by the battery . if you can get it to the rainbow bootloader we can get you back to windows rom .
@mlkjuggalo, I believe the motherboard is done!!!! If you don't mind, would you please list the things that I need to put on my sd card (now that its empy), that might jolt it back to life; since it's at the Boot AD SD which is #1 in the boot list. @letigirl62 no i don't think you killed motherboard but you do need your sd card in for it to work if your running android from sd you can always start over in my links i give has the stock windows rom just download it and power off phone or pull batt what ever works for you and then power up phone while holding down the volume down key this will put you in to the rainbow boot loader then just flash the stock windows rom you just downloaded

@letigirl62 try the Radio Leo 2.15.50.14 it works best if you can't get it to download let me know and i will make a file with all stuff needed and post it to multiupload. when i get home and i will send you the link i should be home in a few hours

I would use the link in video info i think it says all android roms for hd2 they have many to choose from its all in what you like :) i am using a desire hd rom its the newest version with android 2.3.5 sense you also might try watching this video and my others as i have removed windows from my phone and only have android OS on it i'm no longer running android from sd card . feel free to ask for any info or help i will try my best to help .

@greenlink13 is you hd2 the overseas version ? the thing you will need to download is the HSPL 3 or the HSPL 4 links are in video info feel free to ask for help if needed i will try to get back ASAP
yes just power of the phone and power back up while you hold volume button down to get in to the rainbow bootloader and when it says USB on the phone then run the custom ruu and you will be good to go
@nuggets500 did you ever figure out your radio? i too already have gingerbread droid installed, but reception sucks bad.. wifi and calling. ive ready changing the radio might improve reception, but i dont know where to begin.
@KiDfreZhx10 you can use the stock rom the only reason i have that step in is because some android roms that run of the sd will get a robot voice if you use your stock windows rom . I have other videos that show how to remove windows from the phone if you would rather have just Android on the phone if you haven't see them check them out thats how i have my phone no windows mobile on it at all just ANDROID and its nice

@slickcarter98 if you are T-Mobile US then you need to put your apn in look in settings/wireless&networks/mobile networks/access point names and put the apn in that i posted in the video info in . if you are not the t-mobile us then you will need to find your service providers apn on internet
When I try to open Android in the file explorer, it says "there is no application associated with "Android". Run the application first and then open this file from within the application. What does that mean and what do i do?

@paticrews1 when you open the android folder to install do you press CLRCAD then HARET ? also did you leave the android stuff in the folder that you downloaded and extracted from the zip file ? the android needs to be on sd in the android folder when you extract it you might get and android folder in an android folder just copy the one folder that has android in it so its only one folder not android folder in an android folder i hope this helps
@paticrews1 your welcome glad to help if you go with the newest way of installing ANDROID NAND with CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY then no you can't use the elegancia sorry . What CWM RECOVERY does is it removes windows mobile OS from the phone and installs ANDROID OS so that your phone is now like and ANDROID phone you would buy no more dual software on phone its very nice i have the new DESIRE HD software on my HTC HD2 and its sweet .

@tanny0543 you might try to make a call and put on speaker phone or go in to settings / sounds and shut off audible touch tones when in android some time it will fix it also a rebooting of the android will fix it .I don't have WINDOWS on my phone anymore i removed it the only OS on phone now is ANDROID if you don't like WINMO and only would like to have ANDROID check out my other videos ,and THANKS 4 WATCHING MY VIDEO :)
ive tried everything it wont power on or go to the rainbow screen...i kno the battery is not dead it was full whiledoing the process...i have even pushed the little reset button by the sim card and notin happens
@MzDoubleStuff sorry to say but some how you bricked it is what it sounds like . if you plug it in to pc do you hear any sounds any red or green leds come on

Nice video. Quick question though. If I wanted to uninstall hardspl3 from my phone just because I want it off my phone. Do I just connect my phone with activesync and select the 2.08 without hardspl?
@11kemo yes all the android builds in this video are sd android builds if you are looking to install android on the NAND of phone i have other videos to help install android NAND or android CWM NAND other than that i would need more info as to what files ? hspl3 gets put on phone mem and radio gets put on phone mem the android build in the video gets put on sd and it runs from sd and you will still have windows on phone if you decide to go NAND both ways remove windows from phone
ok try to plug phone in to pc while in rainbow bootloader and wait till you see USB on the phone screen if it doesn't say USB try another usb port on pc untill it does after that and if it says USB on phone screen then run the HSPL3 as administrator and pick the 2.08hspl option then let it install the hspl you should see WE HACKED IT on the phone screen when its done then it will reboot
@DEE16171 i would go back to the link that you got MAGLDR 1.11 and get the updated MAGLDR 1.13 to install 1.13 just download it to pc and put phone in to the rainbow bootloader and install like you did 1.11 , now for the wait usb ..... you have to wait for it to say wait usb ...usb then you run the DAF as admin and it should start to install android
@DEE16171 i had the same problem, you only have to put it in another usb port ;) on the computer the usb port on the backside. on your laptop maybee on the other side?! than it should work ;)

i did everything but it didnt work..i mean i got the rom and radio but my phone wouldnt boot ANDROID..everytime i try to boot android..it boots for few second and goes straight to the HTC logo..what do i do...please help guys
@nhatminh41 it will go to t HTC logo just give it time to boot if its the first time booting android it takes 15 or so min after first boot it takes 5 min if you reboot for any reason let me know if you get it to work i have stopped using android on sd i now have it on NAND and i don't have winmo any more NAND removes windows from phone and put android on it as the new OS

@biggietray84 did you set your apn for your network look in settings / wireless & networks / mobile networks /access point names if its blank or diff from the settings i posted you will need to change them your self
@DVisser14 if you are US t-mobile go to the UAS STOCK T-MOBILE ROM LINK in video info or the NON US STOCK HTC LINK and look for the stock rom for your phone download and install

@aguerrero87 did you get the hspl3 installed? and you can try to pull the batt and turn back on while holding the volume down button and it should take you to a bootloader if it does that reinstall your stock rom

@pavaboi76 try a diff usb cable or port blow out the ports on pc and phone dust kills also try to run the customRUU as ADMIN also make sure you are synced with active sync on phone not as sd card if none of that works try a diff winmo rom in step 2 i posted two links the other one has all kinds of LEO / HD2 roms that will work
I just realized that you didn't cover Step #2 in your video and maybe the freezing problems I'm having are because I have the wrong Windows Rom? Do you have a video on how to change to the Windows ROM that works best with Android?

@magentawave i did cover the winmo rom its the miri rom and you just download it or any LEO /HD2 rom from the two links i gave in step two and to install its just like installing the radio hope this helps aslo did you do step 1 the HSPL3 and install 2.08hspl on your phone ?
Active Synch works now (download link at bottom of comment). How long should it take to change from SPL 2.10 to 2.08HSPL? Just asking cuz its been installing for at least 30 minutes. Is that normal?
My HD2 is an unlocked T-Mobile phone that uses Simple Mobile as my carrier. They use T-Mobile towers but cost only $60 per month unlimited talk/text,date (unless you tether the phone). Will this SPL change mess up my Simple Mobile sim card?
@mlkjuggalo Will it brick my phone if I cancel the HSPL install? 2 hours later and I'm still seeing the same "Please wait while installing the HSPL. Do not touch the device!!" message and my phone still has the red, green, blue and white screen showing. Will it brick my phone to cancel this?

@magentawave i am not sure on that i don't really know never had it do this if it was my phone i would just take off the phone cover and hit the red soft reset but i don't know what to say would hate for you to brick phone
@mlkjuggalo I figured it out and it didn't brick my phone to cancel it because you can not change this stuff on a Mac using an emulator. You can do this by running Windows on Bootcamp or use a Windows machine which is what I finally did.

I tried to install 2.08 hspl w/ an emulator on a Mac with XP and got error messages (below). Got the same error messages on a Windows machine with XP too.

@magentawave the nand version i'm running is [NAND] gauner1986's HD-FI 0.3 (Desire HD based) [KERNEL = my own :)] it looks just like the MDJ_FroYo_HD_v._4.6_MDJ_S78.0
I installed MDJ_FroYo_HD_v._4.6_MDJ_S78.0 but the phone freezes on the "stick together" screen (even though I turned off HTC Sense in Windows), it freezes on the Android side too like when I was writing a text and someone called me and it froze and the vibrated incessantly until I pulled the battery, etc.
Should I change anything below to make this work better?
@magentawave yes from the info you gave it looks like your spl is wrong you need to run hspl3 and downgrade your spl to 2.08hspl and then android should work just fine :) not sure if you like windows on the phone but if not you might want to try my NAND video it tells how to remove windows from phone and install android :):) thats how my phone is now and android is way fast if you need more help just ask

@SakadaJJ what radio do you have ? and you might need to try to run hspl3 as administrator and you might need to run hspl3 2.08 first to downgrade your spl and then run hspl3 again and use the 2.08hspl option for it to work and your welcome hope you get it to work for you
@mlkjuggalo My radio 2.15.50.14, Rom version 3.14.707.3. though I have run as administrator it still say the same think. But when I install android directly. It works. However, at the moment I try update the rom as you recommend in step two. It doesnt work. I have no idea now... Please help me...
@SakadaJJ with the radio and rom you have your fine no need to update just run android and it should work just fine for you . What OS is on your pc if its windows xp because i had same problem when i tried to do this on xp
@mlkjuggalo the OS win 7. It worked this morning but now when i restart the phone... it never be able to run the haret again. I have tried many androids my phone just say it not recognized. Stuck now... :) Do you have any idea?
@SakadaJJ i have no clue the only thing i would say to try is remove everything from sd make a back up of sd on your pc 1st then reformat the sd to FAT 32 and put a new clean android build folder on sd and start over if it boot and works you can always add your old stuff back on sd just don't reuse your old android build it sounds like it got messed up some how

whenever i try to boot android it comes up with the writing in the top left for about 5 secs then goes to the original HTC start screen and stays there any ideas how to fix this.
@MrMickybangable also the first time booting android takes a while it has to build files after first boot and android is installed if you have to reboot it will only take 5 min

@Geicco most android builds don't work with your stock rom you can use the one i gave in step 2 in info i have two links in step 2 on is just for the miri rom i use and the other is a site that has all the HD2 / LEO roms out all the leo / hd2 roms on that site will work to make android run on your phone you can try just installing the radio it might work for you sometime it does and sometimes you will get a robot voice when you call and sometimes if its not a cooked winmo rom android wont boot

When i put the android on it and it boots up to windows mobile, the win mobile is completely different looking from when i bought it. @sgovio0 no most android builds need a cooked rom to run their are some cooked roms that look stock i have a link in info in step 2 use the link htcpedia and search roms look for LEO roms they have a lot to pick from
@sgovio0 yes put it on the sd and while in winmo open sd and find the Exceller Multiple Build Loader for Android/Ubuntu and click it and install to phone
I did your instructions and it worked but i have a small problem. When I restart it goes to a generic windows mobile. I have to go back to the file mgr, storagecard, android and hit the clrcad and harit again to reboot the android os. Is this normal or how do i get around this? Thanks.

@thenismobrain i'm not sure if it unlocks it to any sim because i use tmobile but it unlocks the phone so you can hack / flash it so you can put custom roms / radios / and android on it . all i can say is if you have a diff sim card try it

Hi again, My tmobile hd2 is frozen at Boot Ad Sd. Unfortunately my sd card was full of pictures so I did the process without a sd card. When I turn it on, it says sd kernel failed. I'm sorry to impose on you for help again. Any would be very appreciated. I just hope I didn't kill the motherboard.

I would use the link in video info i think it says all android roms for hd2 they have many to choose from its all in what you like :) i am using a desire hd rom its the newest version with android 2.3.5 sense you also might try watching this video and my others as i have removed windows from my phone and only have android OS on it i'm no longer running android from sd card . feel free to ask for any info or help i will try my best to help .

yes just power of the phone and power back up while you hold volume button down to get in to the rainbow bootloader and when it says USB on the phone then run the custom ruu and you will be good to go

@KiDfreZhx10 you can use the stock rom the only reason i have that step in is because some android roms that run of the sd will get a robot voice if you use your stock windows rom . I have other videos that show how to remove windows from the phone if you would rather have just Android on the phone if you haven't see them check them out thats how i have my phone no windows mobile on it at all just ANDROID and its nice

@slickcarter98 if you are T-Mobile US then you need to put your apn in look in settings/wireless&networks/mobile networks/access point names and put the apn in that i posted in the video info in . if you are not the t-mobile us then you will need to find your service providers apn on internet

@paticrews1 when you open the android folder to install do you press CLRCAD then HARET ? also did you leave the android stuff in the folder that you downloaded and extracted from the zip file ? the android needs to be on sd in the android folder when you extract it you might get and android folder in an android folder just copy the one folder that has android in it so its only one folder not android folder in an android folder i hope this helps

@paticrews1 your welcome glad to help if you go with the newest way of installing ANDROID NAND with CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY then no you can't use the elegancia sorry . What CWM RECOVERY does is it removes windows mobile OS from the phone and installs ANDROID OS so that your phone is now like and ANDROID phone you would buy no more dual software on phone its very nice i have the new DESIRE HD software on my HTC HD2 and its sweet .

@MzDoubleStuff you might try to pull the battery and try to power back up or hold the volume down key while you power up the phone this will put you in the rainbow bootloader after that i would flash your stock windows rom and start over or stop because i have never had my phone not turn back on after doing step one also if you don't like windows on phone i have other videos on how to remove windows and only put android on it .let me know how it turns out 4 you

@11kemo yes all the android builds in this video are sd android builds if you are looking to install android on the NAND of phone i have other videos to help install android NAND or android CWM NAND other than that i would need more info as to what files ? hspl3 gets put on phone mem and radio gets put on phone mem the android build in the video gets put on sd and it runs from sd and you will still have windows on phone if you decide to go NAND both ways remove windows from phone

ok try to plug phone in to pc while in rainbow bootloader and wait till you see USB on the phone screen if it doesn't say USB try another usb port on pc untill it does after that and if it says USB on phone screen then run the HSPL3 as administrator and pick the 2.08hspl option then let it install the hspl you should see WE HACKED IT on the phone screen when its done then it will reboot

@DEE16171 i would go back to the link that you got MAGLDR 1.11 and get the updated MAGLDR 1.13 to install 1.13 just download it to pc and put phone in to the rainbow bootloader and install like you did 1.11 , now for the wait usb ..... you have to wait for it to say wait usb ...usb then you run the DAF as admin and it should start to install android

i did everything but it didnt work..i mean i got the rom and radio but my phone wouldnt boot ANDROID..everytime i try to boot android..it boots for few second and goes straight to the HTC logo..what do i do...please help guys

@nhatminh41 it will go to t HTC logo just give it time to boot if its the first time booting android it takes 15 or so min after first boot it takes 5 min if you reboot for any reason let me know if you get it to work i have stopped using android on sd i now have it on NAND and i don't have winmo any more NAND removes windows from phone and put android on it as the new OS

@aguerrero87 did you get the hspl3 installed? and you can try to pull the batt and turn back on while holding the volume down button and it should take you to a bootloader if it does that reinstall your stock rom

@pavaboi76 try a diff usb cable or port blow out the ports on pc and phone dust kills also try to run the customRUU as ADMIN also make sure you are synced with active sync on phone not as sd card if none of that works try a diff winmo rom in step 2 i posted two links the other one has all kinds of LEO / HD2 roms that will work

Active Synch works now (download link at bottom of comment). How long should it take to change from SPL 2.10 to 2.08HSPL? Just asking cuz its been installing for at least 30 minutes. Is that normal?
My HD2 is an unlocked T-Mobile phone that uses Simple Mobile as my carrier. They use T-Mobile towers but cost only $60 per month unlimited talk/text,date (unless you tether the phone). Will this SPL change mess up my Simple Mobile sim card?

@mlkjuggalo I figured it out and it didn't brick my phone to cancel it because you can not change this stuff on a Mac using an emulator. You can do this by running Windows on Bootcamp or use a Windows machine which is what I finally did.

I tried to install 2.08 hspl w/ an emulator on a Mac with XP and got error messages (below). Got the same error messages on a Windows machine with XP too.
rapitool.exe - Unable To Locate Component
This application has failed to start because RAPI.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Then I clicked the "OK" button and got this message...

I installed MDJ_FroYo_HD_v._4.6_MDJ_S78.0 but the phone freezes on the "stick together" screen (even though I turned off HTC Sense in Windows), it freezes on the Android side too like when I was writing a text and someone called me and it froze and the vibrated incessantly until I pulled the battery, etc.
Should I change anything below to make this work better?

@magentawave yes from the info you gave it looks like your spl is wrong you need to run hspl3 and downgrade your spl to 2.08hspl and then android should work just fine :) not sure if you like windows on the phone but if not you might want to try my NAND video it tells how to remove windows from phone and install android :):) thats how my phone is now and android is way fast if you need more help just ask

@SakadaJJ what radio do you have ? and you might need to try to run hspl3 as administrator and you might need to run hspl3 2.08 first to downgrade your spl and then run hspl3 again and use the 2.08hspl option for it to work and your welcome hope you get it to work for you

@SakadaJJ i have no clue the only thing i would say to try is remove everything from sd make a back up of sd on your pc 1st then reformat the sd to FAT 32 and put a new clean android build folder on sd and start over if it boot and works you can always add your old stuff back on sd just don't reuse your old android build it sounds like it got messed up some how

@DVisser14 i find this to be the best android build out its MDJ FroYo HD v.4.6=-[FRG83D][kernel:MDJ S8.0] everything works its fast and stable look in the link in step 4 it has all the android builds out :):)

whenever i try to boot android it comes up with the writing in the top left for about 5 secs then goes to the original HTC start screen and stays there any ideas how to fix this.

@MrMickybangable how long do you wait on htc start screen it takes like 15 min sometime 30 depends on the android build

@MrMickybangable also the first time booting android takes a while it has to build files after first boot and android is installed if you have to reboot it will only take 5 min

@Geicco most android builds don't work with your stock rom you can use the one i gave in step 2 in info i have two links in step 2 on is just for the miri rom i use and the other is a site that has all the HD2 / LEO roms out all the leo / hd2 roms on that site will work to make android run on your phone you can try just installing the radio it might work for you sometime it does and sometimes you will get a robot voice when you call and sometimes if its not a cooked winmo rom android wont boot

I have another question if you're willing. I have the tmobile hd2. When i put the android on it and it boots up to windows mobile, the win mobile is completely different looking from when i bought it. Is there a way to make it look the same while keeping the Android? Thanks again for all your hard work and especially your time.

@sgovio0 no most android builds need a cooked rom to run their are some cooked roms that look stock i have a link in info in step 2 use the link htcpedia and search roms look for LEO roms they have a lot to pick from

@sgovio0 yes put it on the sd and while in winmo open sd and find the Exceller Multiple Build Loader for Android/Ubuntu and click it and install to phone

I did your instructions and it worked but i have a small problem. When I restart it goes to a generic windows mobile. I have to go back to the file mgr, storagecard, android and hit the clrcad and harit again to reboot the android os. Is this normal or how do i get around this? Thanks.

@sgovio0 thats how it is till the DEVs on xda come out with the nand version hope soon :) i just stay on android and it works just fine been months now no winmo for me

@mlkjuggalo Ok thanks. I have a question, not sure if you know about it. I have seen on other sites where theey have thier hd2 boot up and it gives them a choice of going to Android or win. Would that "command", if that's what it is, only work with that particular rom or may it work with the one I Installed from your link (MDJ FroYo HD

@thenismobrain i'm not sure if it unlocks it to any sim because i use tmobile but it unlocks the phone so you can hack / flash it so you can put custom roms / radios / and android on it . all i can say is if you have a diff sim card try it

done everything from the manual and video but when i start "haret" white screen pop up with green HTC in middle.
