The storm trooper hitting his head is actually written into connan as one of the two rebels from the comic: Star Wars Tag and Bink are Dead. It is suppost to be one of them who hits his head walking into the room.
Since then, all Storm Trooper mistakes are usually them goofing up in some way. This also includes I believe them to be the ones getting tricked by the Jedi Mind Trick.
The first stormtroopers were all clones of the late bounty hunter Jango Fett. The Fett template continued to serve as the basis for all clone stormtroopers until 12 BBY, the year that marked a failed uprising within the cloning facilities of the planet Kamino. From then on, the Stormtrooper Corps incorporated clones from a variety of templates and included birth born recruits and conscripts alongside the clones. Keep it nerdy.
I knew what it was going to be before I watched the video. It was going to be about some retard saying how it was really in the future, not in the past. Are you retarded ''dabomshiznite''?
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Thats the point. Its so extremely far away we don't know if anyone is more technologically advanced than us. As for the sound effect: BadgerSV650dotOrg has a reasonable answer.
This is great, I can't tell if it is a joke, and I love that. somone told me about years ago... i had to watch it a few times before spotting it... sorry, but i was too caught up in the magic of it to care about a blooper
dude. its a different galaxy. so it may be a long time ago but they might have had different technologies than we did a long time ago. Its not like its a long time ago in a galaxy really close to us. or a long time ago in a galaxy named the milky way
A galaxy far, far away wouldn't have to be in the same time period as us. A long time ago they already had advanced technology. They exist in an older, more advanced galaxy than we do.
The blooper was indeed a blooper, and it was known about since shortly after the movie came out, but when Lucas made the Special Edition (yeah, it's "special" all right), he had them add the sound effect of the helmet bonking the door. I suppose he felt he needed to make everything "legit".
@VillainSFiend ...i dont know if lucas knew this all along, but because we're always viewing space in the past when you think its a long time ago in a gaxaly far far away it could well be in the same time period as us
This isn't a blooper. Bloopers are removed. This was intentional. Lucas only had the money for one mold. This guy was a little too tall for the mold. Don't believe me?
See Luke and Han in the armor. Han looks normal, but it looks bunched up on Luke. One mold. Dumbass.
@dabomshiznite this is not a blooper because george lucas himself deliberately left it in to show that not all the stormtroopers are the same size & also not that smart either.
Man this "Blooper" was pointed out in the late 70`s . They added the noise later on , they also pay homage to it in "Attack of the Clones" with Jango doing the same thing as he enters Slave 1 . What you did miss was right at the beginning of that scene there are 4 guns in the rack , if you rewind a bit , it starts off with 3 .
The movie isn't set in the future. read this slowly... It takes place a long time ago in a different galaxy not on earth. Lucas is imaginig that there are a different race of beings with superior (and sometimes inferior) technology.
It is a blooper because all clones are supposed to be the same person and since Legion 501st was on the Death Star at that time, and only 501st, then all should've bumped their heads and not just the one. But, you are a dumbfuck because it is possible for other people in other galaxies very far away to be more advanced than us, especially when retards like you roam the Earth. I have also seen this same scene in other videos that are older than this so, good try, but you are simply a tool.
@AbioticSilver I have also seen it myself, in the movie, which isn't 14, honestly, if you are old enough to use the internet and edit great film, then you should know you roman numerals.
@AbioticSilver While the 501st was the last legion to be composed of 100% Fett-clones, they were not the only legion on the Death Star at that time, but only a small part of the troopers stationed there. Therefore, these could had been other stormtroopers (who were not 100% clones by then)...
@AbioticSilver Its a blooper because he hit his head and my guess is that wasn't supposed to happen. Btw not all stormtroopers were clones in this era, actually most of them were human recruits at this point because they stopped making clones at the 501st legion. there were HUMAN stormtroopers on the station at this point in time. Look it up
@TheLieutenantYoung It is true that there were humans at this time, and I'm not even sure what I was thinking when I typed this cuz most of it is wrong, but there were not mostly humans because the clone numbers were revamped after the Battle of Kamino 12 years before the first movie.
it's set in a galaxy far far away, so it would just be stupid if they were as technologically advanced as the human race long long ago. besides, when you are cranking out epic movies that will be remembered for the rest of time, maybie you can pass comment on how it should be done
It WAS 'a long time ago in a galaxy far far away'. It was never supposed to be in the future. The idea is that their galaxy was more advanced than ours & had moved on further even though it happened a long time ago. I always liked the line because it defined space & its different pockets of time, & that some worlds will be thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions of years ahead of us in technology.
The line & Scroll also reminds me of Buster Crabbe's Flash Gordon series & their Emperor Ming.
"A long time ago in a galaxy far far away" comes from Buddhist stories that begin "A long time ago in a land far far away" That's where that comes from. So suck it.
im not saying you're an idiot, but this blooper was spotted by all of us who saw it when the movie first came out, then in the re-release george lucas decided to keep the blooper in then also add in the sfx. be that as it may, you are still a sponsored channel so you're dodgy uploads are probably earning more than i do.
but dude, seriously, if u think you are the true discoverer of this footage, then i am the magellan of your mothers mammaries. if u r not, then forget i ever said anything.sorry
Because the Star Wars universe is in another galaxy, and light travels only so fast, if we were to observe what is going on in that galaxy right now, we'd be seeing stuff that was happening millions of years ago, because the light from that time period is what is just now reaching us.
wow.... just because it appears to be in the future it doesnt mean it is. its in a completely different galaxy where that means their on a different technological level then we are. they can be completely more advanced then us and be in the past. all because they are in another fucking galaxy
I've seen atleast three vids with this in it. It not supposed to be in the future. George did not plan on making 1-3 but decided to because four five and six were such a big hit. And above all your a dumb 12 year old who needs attention lol. But atleast your not out trolling like other 12 year olds.
Everyone knows about that! You just noticed?! You just wanted to make up that overly long set up. Obviously you're fifteen and have only seen Star Wars once. Gnia is right. That was old in 1978.
the films came in the wrong order you say? well episode 4 (the first one) was not called episode 4 when it came out, it was simply called star wars and episode 5 was 2 and 6 was 3, but then george lucas decided to make 3 rubbish prequels (I II and III) thus starwars became episode 4... sad really
Even if you missed the visual part, the audio 'Thunk' would've been heard, and you would've been like, "Wait... What?" -Rewinds to see what that 'thunk' was.-
If it's not obvious from other comments here, just because YOU missed it for so many years doesn't mean everyone else did. I've known about this since the VHS has been out.
So "hidden" that a sound has been added to newer releases for when he knocks his head... compare with clips of the VHS release (not such loud knock) and why Jango Fett hits his head in Episode II (2002)
@debsjd182 Untrue. About 50% of the stormtroopers remained as clones throughout the days of the empire. The 501st Legion, Vader's Fist, was exclusively clone.
A long time ago...The very first text epIV. As for the trooper hitting his head. They are clones but they wouldn't go hiring actors all the EXACT same hight. He'd have used who he had on hand. George had a tight budget for what he wanted to achieve at the time, hence the re-release. They should've shot the scene again. Still Geroge set the standard for Sci-Fi. Doubt we'll ever see such a successful trilogy again. Not often each sequel-prequel can continue the success like the original release.
It's in a completely different galaxy. No matter if it's in the past, present or future it doesn't matter. It's in a different galaxy where things happened much differently than it did in ours, therefore they are more technologically advanced.
I can understand if your 12, it may be hard to wrap your brain around this...
Why must it be in the future ? , because they got better techonolgy ? =/, it is not on tellus, it is in another universe, so i dont see what is so no sense about this.
The whole time thing isn't a mistake. The idea was originally inspired by ancient stories and legends regarding the Crystal Skulls as well as ancient samarian writings basically saying that human beings are the result of alien genetic engineering, and that there are other human civiliazations that the aliens had scattered out there some of which more advanced than us. In other words, it DOES take place in the past. And that this is a different human race... damn Goerge is deeeeeeeeeeeeeeep......
It's a long-noted moment. Storm troopers of the original trilogy are often shown as buffoons. Hence their bumbling marksmanship. And yes as others have said it takes place in the past, a past more technologically advanced than Earth's present.
This is a really big production mistake! all the soldiers are clones, in all clones are the same height, that's why the production was very concern about this scene
wow the blooper that no star wars fans have known about since 1977 has finally been "revealed" wow! thank you. I cant believe millions of people had not seen this before, and that literally hundreds of people hadnt put this video up on the internet before......or that it is one of the most talked about f*ck ups ever! wow dude, you really are a hero! finally revealing this.
@Drumzinthewind Actually they aren't clones, if you consider the time difference between episode 3 and 4, there wouldn't be any clones left, or at least very few, do to the fact that they age faster than usual, so given their combat experience and skills, the few remaining clones wouldn't be wasted on mediocre jobs such as patrolling the death star. And assuming your next question might be who are they, they are just people who have been recruited and trained, much like the army does today.
The real blooper here is not that the one hit his head, it's that all the others didn't. They are supposed to be clones, so they should all be the same height. The one that hits his head is obviously a little taller than the others.
Everyone has seen this

If it's not obvious from other comments here, just because YOU missed it for so many years doesn't mean everyone else did. I've known about this since the VHS has been out.

So "hidden" that a sound has been added to newer releases for when he knocks his head... compare with clips of the VHS release (not such loud knock) and why Jango Fett hits his head in Episode II (2002)

Star wars's setting takes place way back in time, but is in a galaxy far far away from the milky way our galaxy
Grenadierchief 1 year ago
nope.....they are not clones....stormtroopers are individual conscrripts......that explains why clonetroopers are much better shots!!
debsjd182 1 year ago
@debsjd182 Untrue. About 50% of the stormtroopers remained as clones throughout the days of the empire. The 501st Legion, Vader's Fist, was exclusively clone.
... God I am such a geek... <3 Star Wars!
Lyiat 1 year ago
A long time ago...The very first text epIV. As for the trooper hitting his head. They are clones but they wouldn't go hiring actors all the EXACT same hight. He'd have used who he had on hand. George had a tight budget for what he wanted to achieve at the time, hence the re-release. They should've shot the scene again. Still Geroge set the standard for Sci-Fi. Doubt we'll ever see such a successful trilogy again. Not often each sequel-prequel can continue the success like the original release.

and how come they're clones but they're all different hights

It's in a completely different galaxy. No matter if it's in the past, present or future it doesn't matter. It's in a different galaxy where things happened much differently than it did in ours, therefore they are more technologically advanced.
I can understand if your 12, it may be hard to wrap your brain around this...

Stick to watching Sesame Street until your old enough to understand films made for people over the age of six.
maltavmalta 1 year ago
Why must it be in the future ? , because they got better techonolgy ? =/, it is not on tellus, it is in another universe, so i dont see what is so no sense about this.
wezom 1 year ago
The whole time thing isn't a mistake. The idea was originally inspired by ancient stories and legends regarding the Crystal Skulls as well as ancient samarian writings basically saying that human beings are the result of alien genetic engineering, and that there are other human civiliazations that the aliens had scattered out there some of which more advanced than us. In other words, it DOES take place in the past. And that this is a different human race... damn Goerge is deeeeeeeeeeeeeeep......
KyleAndDougsRandomTV 1 year ago
It's a long-noted moment. Storm troopers of the original trilogy are often shown as buffoons. Hence their bumbling marksmanship. And yes as others have said it takes place in the past, a past more technologically advanced than Earth's present.

No one ever said it's in the future.

This is a really big production mistake! all the soldiers are clones, in all clones are the same height, that's why the production was very concern about this scene

@PatriotPidgeon psst oi mate wanna buy some clones pfft

So foley does bloopers?
hrflpo 1 year ago
The real blooper here is not that the one hit his head, it's that all the others didn't. They are supposed to be clones, so they should all be the same height. The one that hits his head is obviously a little taller than the others.
