i actually prefer clannad more than the other key series though because it has not much mysterious and unexplainable magic and stuff in here, and most events here can really relate to real life which makes it more meaningful.

I agree with OtakuFreak, thought AIR was better. But in all the anime from Key/Kyoani, I can't help wondering how their hair blows around SO much without getting all messed up.

While I personally prefer Air, Clannad After Story managed to impress me, even though the first season pissed me off...

The only thing I didn't like about After Story (that doesn't include what I already don't like from the first season), was the first 8 episodes, and how the ending.

This series could've made history! But they should've used the Illusion World a little bit more clever than they did.

But the OP is definately one of the best theme songs I've ever heard!

It's hard to distinguish them in my mind... the transition between the two seasons is absolutely seamless, and the way the story progresses just works perfectly. It's not two 24-episode seasons to me, but one 48-episode show.
