The movie overall was excellent except for some technical mistakes that should have been avoided in the first place: For example, have ever you noticed that some of the cars that were shown in the movie were made in the 80s/90s and not the 70s? That horrible mistake would have been avoided if the movie director Ziad Douwairy noticed that and fixed it.

YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE !!! the subtitles in this movie are not accurate, and at some part totally off ! mainly coz most lebanese words are impossible to translate to english. but they still couldve done a much better job with the substitles.

It was aired in 1998, but the movie is a half-documentary about Beirut during 1975. The events occurring in the city are based on true events, but the characters themselves are fictitious. The movie bemoans the change taking place as this friendly neighborhood slowly dissolves into a warzone.
