@AccountN0name hey look its the same as if you are cracking adobe ... so look go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\et­c and open hosts with notepad, than type what is in the video under the last line and hit save than restore :D

I try to do this, with 2 mac books and both have the same problem. i want to upgrade to 4.0.2 because thats what i had last time for a jailbreak.

After I have edited the hosts and changed the server, iTunes still says 'this device isn't eligible for the requested build' when I try to downgrade. You did say to watch your other tutorial on what to do next to downgrade, but I can't find it ?

Hey I can't ever get it to save. Once I close out and re open it it is no longer there :( Please help.

@NINKman Then you did not save it properly. Hit control x to exit and then hit Y for yes. It will then ask you if you want it to write to the file /etc/hosts. Hit enter and it should save.
