@MRTPALN Protools, This vid is real old, I dont use all that hardware anymore, I cut down with my equipment. Now I use a mpc 4000 , motif 6 and reason, logic, protools and a lot of software synths and drums and live bass and lead. I sold the Mv and the mpc 2500
im an armless guy please thumbs up and watch my video to let everybody know that even with my difficulties i can be a great music producer /watch?v=jG5fr4jJKq0
I have a MV my self as well as a few other things but I love mpc too.....have been thinking of having both but wasn't to sure how well they would work together....is there any advice you can give about MIDI'ing up the two machines.
@luk7pirates I have the MPC as the master. This Vid is Old.. I dont use the MV anymore I have a MPC 4000 now. But now I got to find something that would loop my guitars. That was the thing that was good about the MV, I was able to loop my guitars,, now I got to find something so I would not have to play the guitars threw the whole song all the time.
@slimmivy yeh wicked man, all equipment has it's purpose.
MV's are cheap now so it worth it wile you build your studio up.....but I've found the MV to be a real good tool around the studio......But I love the mp's man, you can be super fast on the pads.
I really like the way your working the rig. I reckon you'd be quite at home 20 years ago, without having use any computers, and just relying on hardware sequencers, and instruments. Thanks for posting.
REALTALK Im using more software now I sold alot of my hardware I only use a few hardware things now. I use a roland fantom and a mpc 2500, the rest is reason4 and all software.
now tht your using software whts the difference between the both I mean is the quailty of sound still there?I never use any hardware b4 so I dont know. But U do got a mean setup!
The quality of the software sounds better now, software has come along way now, My drums sound better comming from software, but I use software and hardware together, so by me using both, I dont need all of the hardware I got because I have so so many software intruments, and it is cheeper than buying all of this hardware.
Great Job: I just have a set-up question to ask you. I have Pro Tools M Box 2 and MPC 2000 XL, Motif 6, Trition Le. I want to set it up so that everything is in sync. So if I hit play on the MPC it will activate everything else something that effect. How would I got about it?
The cd will be avalible online, in the summer, I will let you know when it will be avalible, The CD is in process of getting mixed. It should be online in june or july. Thanks for the support. Peace! RILEYBOY BEATS.
I am a newbie in need of some advice. I checked the internet but i keep coming up with the same specs. Heres my thing my next door neighbor is moving cross country, And his son is in the army for as long as i've known them. He has both mpc 4k & 4k+ For helping his dad out i can choose one What's the difference between the two any advice will be appreciated thank you.
THE 4K+ has more stuff that you will need later after you learn beat production. The 4k+ already comes with the 8 outputs and spdif outputs and it should have the adat in and outs also, and the word clock will come in handy later when you learn more, but I would get the 4k+ , but you cant go wrong with either.
Im using the MPC as the main sequincer, the MV only has one midi in the MPC has 2 midi in, the motif is in 1 and the triton is in 2, programe is off in the mpc when doing keys, such as midi 1c,2b etc.
btw if i may give u a hint, at the end of the video you should let us hear the beat in full quality :)

Very cool
Is it difficult to sync your mv with a program such as Live?
I'm getting one, and I'm wondering if an extra midi cable is all that I'm required to buy.
Also, I see that you're using an mpc for the beats. Do you prefer making beats with the mpc, over the mv?
