I know of a guitar player on u tube that deserves more recognition .PLEASE go to my favs and click on SUBURBAN GUY ROCKIN OUT
he doesnt read music, really feels what he plays and improivses his songs as he goes along. the other 2 favs are him also ARIEL (awesome shredding) and ARIEL SIMANTOV (awesome sweeping) pls view comment and rate them as we think he deserves more recognition .thanks everyone!
Its good to hear what can be achieved with Reason and guitar.....Kind of makes me think of Double Down Under from The Crystal Method cause they use heavy guitar in parts of the tune...and it sounds incredibly bad ass.
yo, check out my experimental rock/euphoric/breakbeat/drum+bass track! search for PHATLINE - WAKING DREAM. trust me you wont be dissapointed! keep up the good work dude!
I think if rock had sex with techno you'd get something that sounds like this.
You need less repeats though...the drums are the same thing the entire time...It's not bad...but it really does sound like you started making a techno song, then was playing around with the backing synth and discovered it sounds decent with guitar.
Not bad at all for sampled guitar instead of really playing. =P 4 Stars. I've wanted to do somethin' like it for a while. But that's why I've started learning guitar. The guitar in this one doesn't have that true live sound to it. But good job anyhow! =)
I like the riff, nice'n'heavy - could do with a bit more variation though. And nice touch with the choir, gives the track a really dark feel. The drum sounds are great, but the programming sounds a bit forced. Have another go at the drums and perhaps make them a little more "traditional" giving a better flow to the track. You're on to something good here bro - keep it up!
what program were you using to create your guitar riffs and/or did you apply effects? I'm impressed your guitars are really nice, I'd love to know roughly how you made them
It's very repetitive and I didn't like the drums, besides that - cool :) I'm just thinking about moving to Reason, now I'm using FL Studio (->my videos) cheers!
I agree with you, Reason and all the other programs are made to produce hip-hop and techno , that's the "Reason" why i choosed to do something what i didn't ever heard in Reason.
That's not true. You are sadly mistaken. I use Reason 4 each and every single day and I can make any sort of music you want to hear. The sheer number of patches for it that are available are staggering. Every instrument in existence, modulated 500 different ways each is available for Reason.
I think what AHX is trying to say is with reason, you get to START with primarily hip hop/r&b/jazz/techno/electronica loops till you develop your own patches, I haven't found any guitars in NN19/NN-XT that sound so 'metally'. Nor have I heard MANY rock songs made in reason. I'm aware that ANYTHING is possible with reason, the sheer size of the thor synthesizer with each knob destructable to 127 increments was good enough for me. I appreciate this mix, and I'd love to hear more of this. 5/5.
hey man im glad to find someone else using reason for rock etc...check my vid response.....tell me what you think. ive tried some hip-hop stuff too but this is what i love about this program, so versatile
great... i worked alot with reason its an amzing software and what people might not know is these programs are made to produce some genres of music like hip-hop and techno but not rock or metal cuz the sounds are computerized and they sound fake when u try to make rock and metal music and i think we got a good one in here it, its creative good job
Reason is a popular music software program developed by Swedish software developers Propellerhead Software. It emulates a rack of hardware synthesizers, samplers, signal processors, sequencers and mixers. Reason can be used either as a complete virtual music studio, or as a collection of virtual instruments to be played live or used with other sequencing software.
i was scared that Reason might make some bad sounding rock drum beats, but i've changed my mind! i'm getting it now for sure, thanks for the great post : )
very good thank you :D

it was great, the only negative thing I find is that it's a bit looped, it doesn't change melody at all. Either then that awesome...
