  • @rmb18queen Me too!! great moment..........best wishes

  • That is a MASSIVE triple axel! Woah!

  • whoa!!! htat was the biggest triple axel ive seen!!!!! when he went into it his leg was wide open and he still got all the rotation.. i mean that in a good way!!! WOW

  • im pretty sure there isnt a quad in there because of the pre-rotation but im not sure

  • Incredible! Those jumps were astonishing! Men do seem to be the best jumpers in the industry.

  • Just seen him Live, he is a Great Jumper, Great Performer Awsome Footwork/ Love Him!~!!!!!

  • Awesome if turned out. Who was the first to land it perfectly?

  • @faeryquene That's an interesting question!!! Josef Sabovchik did land a good one at Europeans back in 1985 (I hope to post a video soon).......Kurt kept the jump, and Elivs had it. I will have to let some other fan with a better memory answer this question for you about Worlds however........I suppose we need a new post for the first REALLY GOOD QUAD............who can help us???? best wishes

  • @k9henrydog Quad: Elvis Stojko during the 1998 Winter Olympics; Kurt Browning first at an official ISU event 1999. Kurt Browning is in the Guinness B of WW. Jozef Sabovcik's attempt resulted in his free foot brushing the ice when he landed the jump, and the ISU didn't give it credit as a "successfully landed jump."

  • @1867TrueNorth Thanks again for updating us. some nice facts to have in your head! my best

  • @k9henrydog You're most welcome. Were you able to see Patrick Chan at the Canadian Nationals? He cleanly landed a Quad and a Quad/Triple. There is a video on YouTube with Kurt Browning doing the commentary for the CBC.

  • @1867TrueNorth Not yet, but I will try to find it and feature it as a FAV. Hope he has a good worlds....these things don't really seem like competitions anymore, just a spin of the roulette wheel........glad he came up fantastic for Patrick.....best wishes

  • That was incredible. Electric!

  • WOOT!

  • Is that Scott Hamilton on the commentary?

Man, how long has this guy been doin this?

  • Yes, he started TV work in 1985, the year after he retired from competition. Dick Button has been doing it since 1959. best wishes

  • SHOYRYUKEN!!!!!!!!

  • Johnny Weir can do a mean quad!

  • Thx for the upload mate!

  • Glad you found it. Always glad to assist an Australian....! You guys talk sooo sexy!! Although, you might be in Greece, based on your profile.....Greeks are even hotter!!!! best wishes

I think for many of us: he is our platinum representative.

  • He is definately a.....'WINNER"!!!! best wishes

  • 6.0 or NO for YO....2010

  • Is he skating to music from the movie A Christmas Story?

(He may not be, but from 1:41 - 1:50 it sounds like he really does!)

    Awesome!

  • Well, there could easily be a phrase or two mixed in, but the predominant theme of the program was "Billy the Kid".....sort of an Alberta Clipper in the skating world!!! best wishes...thanks for commenting!

  • kurt is the best jumper in the worls, but i have to admit that he does need to work on his figures. if figures wern't part of the olympics them he might have won an olympic gold!!!!!!!! He still is the best skater thees days. i bet that if he compete he would be atleast top ten at nationals and top 25 internationaly.

  • My God...has it been 20 years ALREADY? I remember this performance like it happened yesterday!

  • I feel the same way about Ronnie and Cindy Kauffman, 1969!!!! Has it been 40 years already!!!! ouch!!!!!!

  • Great vid! Being a Canadian & Browning being a Cdn it's FANtastic!

  • Kurt is a skating GAWD!!! he belongs to us all......best wishes

  • Thanks for posting!

  • kurt is my favorite skater of all time! so complete, jumps, footwork (phenomenal) showmanship and sportsmanship. Heard about the quad but this is the first time i've seen it, in 1988 too! thank you YouTube and thank you k9henrydog!!

  • Your most welcome 7, I do think it is important for skaters to have these moments in their heads!!! Your comments certainly sum up Kurt so well....best wishes

  • for a north american skater, he surely has great carriage, line and musicality! usually i find russian skaters to be much better on such.
