Man, I'd give my left knee cap to play like you. Thanks for the great demo !. I have a timeline myself, but need to figure out the adjustments. Do you feel that it works better with a Strat than Les Paul ? tks again, from your newest subscriber.
So pete does this thing more or less make the el capistan obsolete or does the el cap fill some niche in the sound that this can't get to? I was about to pull the trigger on the el cap but now this has me intrigued. If I'm already dropping 300 bucks, an extra 150 for this wouldn't kill me as long as I know I'm actually getting my moneys worth.
@FastRedPonyCar i've owned both (ended up keeping the timeline), and to answer your question: no, not completely. i think the el cap sounds (slightly) better than the timeline's tape mode. no clue why, my best guess is probably all that processing power dedicated to one sound rather than 11. so if you only want a tape delay sound, get the el cap. otherwise, you can't go wrong with the timeline.
Hey Pete, Love your playing and the demo's. What's on that little board you held up in the video. At one point your traveling/one-off board had the Nova System. thanks,
Great demo Pete. Always informative. Inspiration box indeed! I have both the timeline and Capistan now. Would you include both pedals on your 'smaller pedal board since having used the timeline or just one of them?
The IL Capistan is the besy from Strymon , Take the time to check out the digitech timebender delay pedal , I ended up keeping the digitech and sold my timeline ! , Pete what camera are you using for the demos , and what clean amp would you recommened for pedals infront ? Thank you .
my only con is that you cannot name your bank only by a number which i am horrible at remembering. put in my order last week , the wait in on. my second time buying this unit
Keep up the fantastic work. Your vids are among the finest on YouTube and extremely helpful and inspirational - plus you are definitely one of the coolest guys on the planet!
Holy sh*t.... that's an amazing pedal. There's many delay pedals with all these freaky functions but on this one they all sound so natural, awesome, and above all restrained!
I truly believe Pete Thorn could take a pile of s**t and make it sound awesome. Definitely an inspiration every time you post. Thanks for another great review.
Pete, may I suggest making MP3s of the songs you played for all of your demos, and making them available for download through your website, as a mini album or something, That would be really awesome, because I find myself watching your old videos just to hear the songs.
if i was able to get into something guitar related during my 4 year engineering course at uni it would be amazing. you and everyone else who can play guitar as a job really inspire me.
i love the fact you have fun with these demos!!

Amazing demo Pete!!
Do you know if the timeline has +4 or -10 Output?
I'd like to use it in the effect loop of my amp.
Thanks

What parameter do you reach down to adjust in the second song to get the really psychadellic effect? Thanks and love your vids and style.

The thing about these products is the save function and banking. IF you cant save and bank they are worthless on stage. Does this do either?
