i remember the fist time i seen him do stand up and i was like...wtf this guys all over the place. but then i realised how his style is to layer his comedy by givin you the most stupid things as the build up...then he switches to something completely different only to come back mabey 5-10 minutes or even half an hour later to deliver punchlines and one-liners referring to previous ramblings! extremely clever comedy!!! :)
yeah seriously, saying things weird is a normal comedy tool. harry hills whole way of speaking is an affectation for his act...'Mr hill you almost won a British comedy award but I'm afraid you once said chimaaanzee, your act is ruined!'
thank you so much for uploading all these, saw him for the first time on this uk saturday night live show thing and have practically been laughing about it ever since, so pleased to see them again!
I can't thank you enough for putting this up. I've been waiting forever, I gave up hope. I had this very episode on VHS and replayed it umpteen times before it got mistakenly recorded over. Honestly, this is the Harry Hill I remember, alternative, surrealist, before the likes of Noel Fielding. Still every bit as good as I remember!
Totally agree with that PomBare. I also had these appearances on vid for ages and practically wore the tapes out. Perfect performances from Harry. I also love the way he made wacky references to other acts that appeared on the same episode of Saturday Night Live, like that 'Regurgitator' bloke who was on this episode. Which is why people who never saw the full episode don't quite get what he's up to here. Respect.
@TheSbuster absolutely! He should have stuck to stand up. TV burps fine, but its light entertainment and watered down compared to this raw, alternative pioneering surreal comedy.
Hehe - I can see myself in the audience :)
Do you have any more of this episode?
