I've been interested in the Scala headsets for quite a while now, so it's good to see how to fit one. How likely is it to mark the paintwork on the outer shell of the helmet?

@mjpartyboy The screws are on the underside of the shell. It doesen't mark the outside.

How loud is the speaker and how close does it have to be for one to hear it clearly?

It works very well. I wear a Full face helmet and it just Velcro's in the ear hole and does great. The better model, the Q2 has the capabilities to go rider/rider and rider/pillion with two units. With the one I reviewed, you have to use 2 separate cell phones. Works very will at high speeds.

I just wanted to thank you so much and let you know I appreciate your video.  I bought the Scala Rider Q2 last winter and left it in the box to install until now. Somehow, in the interum, I misplaced the installation instructions. I'd never seen the unit installed or in use and I wanted to use it first thing in the morning. After watching your video I was able to install my Scala Rider onto/into a Shoei full face helmet no problem. Thanks again. I wish you many safe rides.

thanks for the review. i was suspicious because cardo would only use a 3/4 helmet in their tutorial and i wasn't sure how this would work with a normal helmet. you seem to be pretty happy, the mic does not seem to be in the way so you finally convinced me...

They do really well. I can hear better WITH the helmet than the phone by itself. Go figure.

youve got a big ass faring and wind shield on your scoot thought, how do you think it would do with a sports bike setup, with the wind hitting you in the head?
