  • I have been there twice... Stood in the central chamber & was able to explore it's beauty... I also log-rolled down the hill behind it... ;-)

  • i was there its very cool

  • This is like the star fox adventures game, at the lightfoot level at the end you go in a chamber like this.

  • interesting...

  • wtf?

  • Newgrange is older than the pyraminds of giza. I live near newgrange and my mom used to always take me to it, now i find it so BORING

  • I hate this shit, can't watch the content becouse law in germany forbids viewing copiright content without paying a fee. Such asholes. YouTube appears to suck pretty much!

  • I hate commercials.

  • i wanna know what the pictures in the ground are in nazca

  • Are there ANY ancient ruins in Sub Saharan Africa?

  • Greater Zimbabwe

  • Yeah, but those aren't really that old. You'd think there'd be some pretty ancient stuff lying around the land where all humans journeyed out of.

  • Druids later became known as the weird old hippie guys.

  • I have in possession a secret druid scroll...

  • @61third is it a zig zag filled with magic herbs

  • I have been here before and all I can say is that aliens definitly made this shit. This video barely touches on the mysteries of NewGrange. I call bullshit when they say the stones were pulled out of the river. The only place in Ireland those stones exist is something like 80km away. Im telling you...aliens.

  • Winter solstice--->December 21st--->Aliens--->2012--->OMFG

  • The descendants of the Minoans did it. They left their spiral sign on it. The spiral was symbolic of the Minoan Labryinth

  • @bigeeezy .Newgrange is far older than the Minoan culture; it dates from the neolithic (3300 BC).The Minoan culture was bronze age. If you wanted to pick out similarities, it is closer to the Maltese temples (megalithic and with spiral patterns too), but in real architectural terms it is closest of all to the megalithic tombs of Iberia, although they are not as large and sophisticated.

  • @sonofherne fascinating

    thanks

  • @Fultron .Sorry, I think this is disrespecting the ancestors! Of course men built it; their remains were inside the chambers. Why would aliens just want to move some large stones? Why would they use stones at all and not metal or whatever their spaceships were made out of? It's the same as at Stonehenge, where some stones were brought well over 100 miles. It was a dedicatory act, meant to please the ancestors.spirits/gods.

  • Ha! I've been there.

  • I live inside Newgrange - has some nice WiFi.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahaha..... oh jeez..

  • Awesome, some beautiful shots of the architecture in this video.

  • 10th!

  • awweee MAN I WANTED TO BE FIRST!

  • lol i win

  • NOT FAIR

  • First off, there was a Teletubbies episode with a house constructed EXACTLY like this. Irish Funerary architecture inspired Teletubbies?

From the outside, I thought the mound would be a corbelled vault. But it looks much more colossal from the inside.

  • those damn vikings ripped off the teletubbies

  • lol i win

  • lol i win
