Tate also landed 10 significant strikes, compared to Akano's 6, and passed Akano's guard 3 times, compared to Akano's 0. Getting someone "eventually" doesn't get you any points, if Akano wanted to win, then she should have submitted Tate before the clock ran out.

Miesha Tate is one of the most boring assed clinching wrestlers in mma. People like her are killing the sport. Men and women alike.Wrestlers come in to mma and wrestle 90% of the fights. Audiences hate it and so do I. She did the same to Coenen and regrettably won. Coenen is a better fighter but Tate did that smothering crap and won. Thankfully most fighters try to be exciting. Tate is not one of them though. She has a cute smile and that´s about it.
