You can't answer a question with another question. NO child should have their parents' beliefs forced upon them, his labels of such people are unnecessary, but it does not justify the lack of choice. When a child's life has such an influence at such a premature age, their parents' hatreds become theirs. Little children have no need to hate for the reasons their parents do. They don't have the reasons, not until they have matured sufficiently to provide their own, but by that time, these reasons are only justification for what was already there.

As for what happened in Joshua it could have been a change in the Earth's tilt that could have caused the sun to appear that had suspended it's motion.

My brothers, we must all learn to get along. Believers and non-believers. The church is FAR too powerful in the US. It is institutionalised. So deeply ingrained into society that it scares me. I try to remain hopeful.
Religion keeps the dull minded in order and out of trouble, that's fine with me. Better that than to have these nutters running around having their own ideas! Praise the Lord! ;)

I have to agree with Pat; we should all rise up against the creationists, and he was clearly talking specifically about them as idiots, which they are. The artlessness in your argument that Pat didn't wake up one day with a moral code, and may have read a book on the subject, is that it doesn't matter where non-theists get their ideas; that is the whole point! You have fundamentally missed the difference b/n theists and non--theists - whether a thing is good or bad, right or wrong, is judged on it's own merits. An atheist has no problem even adopting bits of the bible. It is the moral itself that matters, not the source.

Not all athiests make fun of religion, I'm not saying I am athiest but I don't like to get into religious conversation because all it causes is turmoil and conflict, taking Pat's video and your response, there is a conflict, believe what you want and live the life that you choose, it's the only way to fully live, who know's if the bible is right or wrong, nobody does. the religious wars. NO child should have their parents' beliefs forced upon them, his labels of such people are unnecessary, but it does not justify the lack of choice. When a child's life has such an influence at such a premature age, their parents' hatreds become theirs. Little children have no need to hate for the reasons their parents do. They don't have the reasons, not until they have matured sufficiently to provide their own, but by that time, these reasons are only justification for what was already there.
