I went to a JRB master class that he taught and the note that he gave all the singers was to stop over enunciating all of your words. The way you say the words when you speak them should be how you sing them in the song. Don't overdo pronunciation, because then all you are doing is singing the song like a trained singer worried about diction and not a character telling your story. JRB gives that note a lot so I thought I would pass it on. Good Job!

UUUGH, I absolutely LOVE your rendition of this song! I choreographed this a few years ago, & I'm now using this as an audition piece. I get nervous with it, mostly because it's JRB music, which can be tough for a less experienced pianist, making an already tense audition process even more frustrating. So glad you got into the top 4 for the contest, because you perform the hell out of it, w/o being totally overbearing; you know when to be tender & you know when to get your belt on! Congrats! :)

@cbc21492 for one thing, acting is not an issue for Natalie, this isnt "Hello, Dolly!", this character is specifically meant to be REAL and not over exaggerated like in most other musical numbers. I see where you're coming from, if you don't know the production, but just to clear any bad air-she did that performance as close to perfect as anyone will ever get.
