  • Thanks for the updated information, Tweelo. I think I still have the cheap little 45 rpm 'page' that came with the book, but no record player to play it on anymore. It's been so long since I've heard the song that I'm curious how far I've strayed from the original. But I do remember plucking this out patiently off of the tablature. In fact it's one of the earliest fingerpicking songs I learned.

No problem, thanks for posting the video. I have tried to find some Lena Hughes out there... there's not much, and I've yet to come across "Kentucky Moon Waltz". The flexi disc that came with my copy of 'Old-Time Country Guitar' was gone before I bought the book. You really ought to pick up a turntable (I bet a dollar you can find one for a dollar) and check your accuracy. Regardless, you sound great and I'm copying off you s'far as this song goes.

  • Hi, just to let you know, 'The Kentucky Moon Waltz' isby Lena Hughes. The book you reference is 'Old-Time Country Guitar' published by Oak Hill in 1976. A great book. In fact, working through this old book I found in a discount bin at my local music shop is what led me to this video. Great job,by-the-way!

  • I really loved this! I play guitar too, but i'm really bad at it. :( Oh well.
