Soy boricua y hay que admitirlo puerto rico no fue el mejor, no creo que debieron estar ni en los primeros tres. Pero un salsa congress en PR y que no ganen los boricuas matan a los promotores alla cojen todo eso muy en serio.
They are all good dancers, but not necessarily at Salsa. It's interesting to note that with all the people around the world that imitate this Cuban dance, no one has come remotely close to matching what the Cubans have. And there's no bias here, 'cause I'm not Cuban. All they did were tricks, they were cute, but don't call it salsa, call it tricks.
I can't understand!! This teachs how to steal a competition!!! No doubt, italian were the best. Fernando Sosa is the best one, Alyra is wonderful, the PR dancer were so boring, slow, without sabor. I would place them like this: 1: Italy - 2: Venezuela - 3: Canada. (I dance better than PR male dancer, lol) The spanish male dancer was really ilarious, with an orrible style.. sorry, but true...
Por que la envidia? I dance salsa for more than 20 years and the reality is that the Boricua's dance was as the original dance is. If you like some much the Italians I recomend that you learn american dance from de 50'.
I am married to a Puertoriqquena and have a beutiful girl by her. I am latino l (south america) and can tell you that those PR dancers were no match for the Italians. I have seen local dancers at the clubs here in Chicago do better than them. You are talking about the world competition and that is all they gave!?! If you have been dancing 20 years and your think they are the better dancers, please make sure you do not teach a class.
look salsa is all about technique and keeping its originality and i think puerto rico did that best..but there were a lot of other teams that did cooler stuff i'll admit but they did not stick to the original SALSA
the Palladium's Dancers, then they could judge what is real dancing.I won't touch the Cuban issue, but going to Habana will help.Really!Alli si que hay clave.
For thoses that said that italy should win SORRY!! i was there and belive me our Puertorricans dances better, and this wasn't the only dance they dance three times . WE ARE THE MASTERS!!!!!!
Sorry, but the Italians clearly were the better dancers as they moved crisply and better interpreted their music. The Venezuelans were far to acrobatic and the Puerto Ricans' form and musicality was off and on.
That had to have been a political biased ranking. If it had been up to me it would have been, Italy, Spain, Venezuela and PR last. But what do I know I guess posture and strong arm/leg lines mean nothing in salsa.
Puerto Rico fuè raccomandato! -.-
Io avrei fatto vincere l'Italia o il Canada! ;)

Political bias indeed. Italian's prestation was *WAY* better and should have won 1st place in that competition.
