I remember seeing this running a few times, in both the IC livery & this GNER version. Whised i'd filmed it when it was running. oh well. Nice video 5*.
@Cazkumali As far as I know, it is currently being preserved as a static loco at barrow hill, it has also been put into a inaccurate intercity livery. I never saw this loco running, possibly because I was slightly too young to remember but I have seen it at barrow hill when it was still in GNER colours and its inaccurate intercity colours.
@liamshaw666 The current livery worn by 89001 (InterCity 'Executive') is not inaccurate. It wore this livery from new until repainted into Swallow colours.
@liamshaw666 My personal favourite is IC Swallow, but the dark blue of GNER did look smart. 89001 is my favourite loco, so I don't mind which livery it wears - I'm just glad it was saved!
it would be fantastic to see this return to the mainline!

It's front resembles that of an HST power car in a way i didn't think there was a class 89 i heard about but not seen it for myself
