  • i know it's an old vid but i'm laughing at the title.3 things off the rip that prove this is a slow ass sohc.one stock manifold,two stock cam and gear.three stock fuel rail and injectors.just to add some other tidbits.you have a nasty oil leak if it was built you suck at building engines.the loud exhaust is telling me open headers.why lie when you know people know more about your own car then you do.smh!!!!!!.i will give credity on the wire tuck....

  • I am the only one who gets this....fully built vitara build? Vitara pistons lower the compression ratio. That motor has no turbo on it....so actually...that is a tucked SLOW ASS TURD

  • @jpgotboost Vitara pistons have been able to handle up to 500whp... he has a sleeved block, andprobably will build the head...... I think he'll hit 350 easy.

  • I agree with BYCURE213 1. I personally like the flat black. It's not pretending to be something it's not.. It reminds me of a saying, You can put perfume on a pig but it's still a pig. You can paint ANY crappy car but that won't make a better car. This guy is starting out on the engine. yeah the engine squeaks but it's a project. Work on the major stuff and tweak the little things later. I'm sure this guy is more concerned with his electrical than adjusting his damn belt.

  • Haha I love how you threw WRX in there, as I am an 09 WRX owner and know as a Subaru techinition (Yes I work for Subaru as well) NO WRX has ever came into our shop that has been riced out or planted flat black primer ( why not actually put some paint over it then, I bet you also have a rear fascia that isnt painted either... RICER) except 1 WRX that has 2 flames on the hood with a yellow scoop, but the guy also owns a M3 and a Porsche so its his beater. RICER RICER RICER

Come on dude, orange around the edges, a pink engine bay, and a matte black exterior? And what a nice oil cap, yet you wouldn't spend the time to polish the head it goes on... And your exhaust headers, a five second spray with some high temp anything would look better... but no.

    This would be a sleeper car because nobody would expect extensive engine upgrades on a body like that. And you should get things organized and running before you dance off painting everything.

  • @5PYZ3R Dude, that shit is RICE!!! That car is 3 fucking colors with a wire tuck and a POS SOHC. And the flat black paint was his cosmetic upgrade, because for some odd ass reason moron ricers think flat black won't reflect a cops radar (obviously stemming from stealth plane paint which isnt nearly the same) and because "it looks good", which it doesn't. Ill send you pictures of my 09 Subi WRX build, its just under 380whp with all the bells and whistles added. THATS a tuner! Not this POS Honda.

    I'm not sure if you read my comment or not, but rice is cosmetic upgrades to make the car seem faster. A wire tuck is a big job on a high caliber. Also, your flat black stealth plane rant was completely ridiculous. That flat black is called primer.

    We're car enthusiasts. Either it's a Civic, a WRX, Supra, Lancer- Prius, whatever. We're on the same team. Just because you're wealthy enough to build a WRX doesn't give you the authority to call out 'ricers' when you're ignorant.

  • @BYCURE213 Haha more mods doesnt mean more power. Start off with a real car not a puddle jumper then we will talk. I bet your "mods" on your hatch make it equal to a stock 09 WRX, which mine no longer is. And I race at the track and also like the back roads, obviously since its a Subbie. But just because you are taking some crappy streets doesnt mean your car needs to look like shit. Maybe less engine mods and a nice paint job would be a better car, at least no one would call you a ricer too.

  • @Sp33dyD3m0n silly mistake, thinking power is all there is to racing, ever heard of power:weight ratio? guess not or you wouldnt be talking so big. a stock subbie has a power:ratios of about 11lbs/hp, while i may have about 13lbs/hp i lose less power to the wheels than any soobie ever will. so yes my civic is equal to a soobie in acceleration, and this is with a SOHC motor, i can always swap to a B or K series and get much more in NA trim. but that is not my focus with my car, i simply seek Gs

  • @Sp33dyD3m0n so tell me, since when is raing a purpose built car "rice"? and since when is being smart about it rice? i could care less if anyone calls my baby rice simply because i know that i can out corner the ones that do, oh and as for my car being same as a soobie, dig this, my build has run me about $2000 (car+upgrades)and keeps up with and beats a $25000+ car. and all that money i saved can be used in upgrades. which are much cheaper than a soobbies ever will.

  • my fully built k20 all motor tuned on ethanol and runnin 14:1 compretion wont even do that much hp so no way in hell that sohc will make that power

  • @kilghost1 their talking about having a d15/16 with a turbo not n/a. It is very possible to get 500whp from a d16z6 with supporting mods to the motor. you can build the motor for like 1000-1500bucks.

I got no mag coverage for it but I dont care because it is something I will never forget. Everyone who hates on this car has never been through the long nights and literal blood sweat and tears a good build can put you through. I see you put in work and im glad that you have stuck with it. from one car builder to another keep it up

  • a old cable gsr with worn syncros lol. i still have use the tranny but now its mated to a b16a. daily driver 90 sedan.

  • this is funny because i built my b20b with a fresh oem rebuild, arp head studs, valve train and cams. intake header and exhaust and a street tune and made 203 to the wheels on a dyno. and it cost me about 1200. thats on a stock bottom end and no head work. just cams and valves and bolt ons.

  • It's fully built with the block bored to 76mm and the head ported. We posted it, notched it, and had it sleaved. The header is an Airmass product. They are very nice headers! They sound so good. My friend and I did the wire tuck. Were not completely done with the wire tuck but it still looks good lol. It's time to bring back the SOHC!!!! When it's fully built, we are expecting 350-500 hp.
