This is the first song that got me into Ryan Adams. I remember listening to it on a listening post in a record store and thinking what the f*ck... that's beautiful
@littlestar3103 Thank you. You are very kind. My tickets have arrived for his Oxford acoustic gig next month, so hopefully my experience of watching "the master" at work will be well worth it. I've got another RA tribute video planned, but I'm not sure what to use as the song choice? Something mellow anyway hopefully. Take care :)
@Fenner1976 I think maybe poison and the pain or something similar if you have it?? - it definitely needs something worthy of it..... I am headed to Manchester & Glasgow (possibly london too) - I feel like aNY opportunity to see Ryan is one that has to be taken..... enjoy the gig xo
@tIReDofConVErsaTIoN Thank you! I see from your channel, your hometown is York...beautiful city in a beautiful county. I've spent a lot of time there.
Thank you my friends! I first heard about Ryan through his work with "Whiskeytown" and later with his recordings with The Cardinals. One of the most prolifically hardworking artists in America, and music in general. He is one of the most talented musicians I've ever seen in my life, and his music has become a real addiction. I was listening the radio one day a few years back (when the radio used to be good) and heard his cover of Oasis' "Wonderwall". It was then, I knew what true talent is.
Ah, nice! Is that the same Exit/In show where he does Return of the Grievous Angel with Gillian Welch?

@autmommy Yes that's the one. You're clearly a dedicated DRA follower...which is good :)

What I would like to know is where and when this recording is from...
autmommy 4 months ago
@autmommy It's from Exit/In, at Elliston Place, Nashville. Recorded on 28th October 1999.
