I have to agree with those who say this game is a good buy. More than many other games, the survival aspect is great. Weapons are generally lousy, ammo is scarce, and the state of your gas mask is a constant problem if you take too long or get hit too much.

I think some people have a problem with it because the game's story has a very "Soviet" literary theme, which can be difficult for some westerners to understand.

I didn't get through the second door as fast and still got it. The game doesn't count 20 seconds very well.

This game has so much going for it but the shooting is not fun at all. The story is decent, I didn't care too much for it but I could see others really liking it. Its def worth a rental

@dcbaker343 i think the reason for the reviews was that there is no online for this game, so when you've beat the campaign a few times there's not much to do except go for achievements
