Forgive me for asking but has anyone else been wondering who killed all of those girls years ago? The culprit we know of couldn't have possibly been around then, so was it really a monster, or just another impersonater the game doesn't mention???

@EscapeandBreakfree Maybe, *Person behind the monster* dug up old stories around that place, old folklore that may've never happened. But still, Renate's story kinda disproves my theory, but that's all I can really say. I do wish they explained it more :/

@witchcraftlover Don't get me wrong, I loved the game, but I just wish there wasn't this empty plot thread. I hate that we have to walk away believing it was all just some sort of myth, since that doesn't explain how the girls went missing. It would've made more sense if the culprit had the role of the monster being passed down from generation to generation or something.

@EscapeandBreakfree Yeah, I feel the game creaters could have expanded on that a little bit. Like, random example, the Freiherr's daughter left the village to be with a man she loved but her father didn't like. Just something like that.

@EscapeandBreakfree I was wondering that too when I started the game, and this is what I came up with. The culprit who became the monster, created it based on an old castle legend. So I think that's what it all was: a legend. So those girls really didn't die, it was all part of the story that used to be told.

@RiotxOnxSet Maybe, but they sure would've had to go through alot of trouble, creating those newspapers and keeping the story alive. But maybe you're right, maybe the girls never did go missing, either way I just wish the game would've handled it better.

@EscapeandBreakfree actually, you know what? I was thinking about it and in the case file, it says 'has been stalked for centuries by a monster' or something like that. Plus, if the townspeople are always scared...so yeah, not that I think about it..they really did leave a lot out.
