  • First of all, I guarantee you that they have irish trainers. Second who gives a crap. You all get it that he is irish, no matter what!

  • I'm American and even I could tell that was horrible. The way he said "home" was so bad it was funny

  • The whole Irish schtick was ridiculous. Chibs is a Scot who's both British Army AND IRA. Fucking moronic. Titus Welliver sounds more like he's from Derby or somewhere than anywhere on the island. Even in s4, Timothy V Murphy's accent teeters on the brink, and he's actually from Kerry!

  • Trixie and Silas Cool Ah heck go watch him on Deadwood He's great there. I got the best hug from him in Deadwood SD after series with cast. He is just th nicest and kindest man. One hell of a good heart and friendly. He layed his arm around me and pull ed me in for a photo shot and good strength that secures you with knowing "This is a Good Man" I have nothing bad to say about Titus. So he isn't Scottish but he winged it... Great part on 'Rough Riders" as BF Goodrich... with Theodore Roosevelt.

  • That's clearly a Longford accent....

  • lol

  • WTF??

  • Irish accent in Belfast? LOL

  • The way he says 'home' is so funny!!

  • I'm Italian but i noticed Wlliver's wrong irish accent from the first time he apperead on the show!! And I'm sorry, I just think it0s because he is not a very good actor!! Take Charlie Hunnam, he's english but he can do a pretty convincing american accent. Brad Pitt in the snatch is another good example... or the True Blood guy...

  • the irish accents in sons are shockingly bad no were in the north sounds like that i love the show but they really need to sort the whole accent thing out..

  • Just for the record I do love Sons, but the Irish eps were a real nadir. An insult to Ireland and the usual stereotypical nonsense that glorifies the IRA and seems to pass fine for Americans who insist they are Irish because their great great granddad might have been

  • Titus really had trouble with the 'O' vowel sound. Each time I hear it, it sounds more like Spinal Tap's English accent! It's very very evident when he says 'home' here and the times he says 'now' They really REALLY should have gone for Jimmy Nesbitt.

  • I love how he says "yeah" after he finishes a sentence. do they really talk like that in ireland? i would incorporate that into my sentence finishing but it wouldn't sound right, yeah.

  • This sounds kinda like a mix of West Country and Scouse.

  • I'm English and most of the time the Irish accents in SoA seem fine, but there are moments when even I think "Jesus christ....they couldn't have redone that part?!"

  • Well it's close to the real deal, right? I don't know, never been in Ireland though

  • @HittokiriBattousai17 No, it really isn't alas

  • You cant blame the guy. I think he's American or something

  • As an ignorant American I'm glad I can say these accents didn't ruin the show for me, but I could imagine how much it pissed off actual Irish people lol. If it's any consolation Chibs made Jimmy pay for his bad accent.

  • Most of the Irish accents on this are terrible (with a couple of exceptions). A great program, but I almost stopped watching because the accents were so bad.

  • LMAO!

  • Jesus h christ on a bike...Theres thousands of great actors north of the border who can hold guns n jockey a suicide horse...why even down south they've....ahh , sure never mind. Sons of Anarchy nearly lost me coz of this, but luckily, i'm not a billyboy.

  • @t0mmymann ya make a lot of sense for a hun ah no j/k they should have got james nesbitt for this part he would have been deadly

  • God I can't help but cringe everytime I hear them trying to speak like someone from belfast

  • He should've drank whiskey and beat his wife to really get into the spirit of it.

  • @TropicalShirtTy lol, so messed up

  • OMG ahaha, awful attempt at our wee accent

  • His fake Irish accent has made him more money than most real ones.

  • Titus Welliver is a great actor, Kurt Sutter hand picked him for the role, there are times where he does a spot on Irish accent then there are times where he does a cockney accent, either way he is a great actor

  • Comment removed

  • @AssultKarma I doubt he really needs to get better, what with his character being dead and all...

  • @LyallM94 True, true.

  • Ahh Americans trying to be Irish, you gotta love them for trying! I don't know where in Ireland you'd find that accent though!

  • Was he suppose to be doing an irish accent?

  • Comment removed

  • Who gives a Fuck?

  • okay so im sick of hearing the bullshit yeah i got it, it was bad accent but its a show they arent trying to talk bad about the irishman, im irish well as descent but serious? its a show no need for the yank bs cmon

  • It sounds neither Irish or like sum1 up north. Like an English Scottish irish mix. Pure shite

  • Wtf is going on. No one sounds northern Irish even though they are supposed to be from Belfast. It's all a bastardised American idea of Irish mixed in with scottish and yank speak. How hard would it have been to get some real Northern Irish people to act in these roles. Typical American nonsense.

  • Oh and by the by this is not james nesbitt (who is irish) it is titus welliver (who is american). just the worst irish accent since richard gere in the jackel

  • I'm from Belfast and I think he did a good job.

  • his irish accent was great what r you talking about???

  • @SauronMouth It's horrific!!

  • the dude who played edmund hayes was soooo much worse

  • he couldn't even do a Boston accent in The Town. A friend and I went to see the movie, and I recognized him. the minute he opened his mouth, my friend and I began laughing. She doesn't even watch SOA, but she knew that accent was horrid.

To top it off, an actress from Gossip Girl, Blake Lively, was also in the movie, and she had it down pat, accent and all to the point I didn't even realize it was her until the credits rolled.

Talk about an epic fail and being pwned all at the same time! lol!

  • Lad that is fucking shocking!

  • So im guessing hes not really Irish then?

  • I LOVE IRISH PEOPLE I DUNNO WHY.. much love from Algeria

  • That was... uh, yeah... I still thought, Titus Welliver was damn near Oscar gold in Sons of Anarchy. Can't wait for season 4 :)

  • @CalamityCain is there going to be a season 4? :O if its so , tell me when !

greatings from the biggest country in the world, the netherlands....... =)

  • @rmk050

Hell yeah, there will be. We know, that SAMCRO goes to prison, but Kurt Sutter said, most of their prison time will have happened off-screen, so the upcoming season will start with (most of) them being released. Just google it, there's already great photos from the set - they're preparing season 4, no worries. It's already in full motion :-) Damn, I can't wait!

  • fucking irish and their complicated accents, Go to hell potato eaters

  • @Hobgoblin1975 irish people r da shit n their accents r g

  • he mixed an english accent with a Dublin accent wtf!

  • @TheReverendRaver aww stop "the weeee corner shop" and the place the sons wer stayin in belfast looks like the inside of a house in 1940s limerick from angelas ashes or somethin.

  • im irish and a huge sons fan, but seriously.....they really made one cunt of a fuck up with the irish accents on this show....jimmy, fiona, edmond, and liam o neill...terrible accents and im also sick of how real irish actors arent used and this stereotype of god fearin catholics still livin in 1960...cop on te fuck

  • the irish accetents are shit

jaxs true accent creeps in during this season

    his us accent is good

  • @Blondzrule Lol it's garbage, the way he has to force himself to pronounce the r's.

  • *shrugs* The accent sounds okay to me. But, I'm from Detroit so what do I know? I definitely notice when Jax's accent goes in and out even though it's usually subtle.

  • Om tokm mah fommly HHHAAAWWWWMM!M!!!!!!!

  • I guess the same way I think Titus' accent was fine, is the same way most british people think Charlie Hunnam's accent is good. Because it is horrendous shit.

  • It sold me.

  • ach now it wasn't soo bad alot better than what alot of high paid actors are doing. He is doing his Os right atleast for a dublin (not D4)

     accent anyway.

  • Is it really that bad? i`m a big fan of him:(

  • @lacagel Oh yeah that isn't an accent from any county or Ireland haha!

  • lmfao legendary actor, probly never seen the emerald isle before in his life

  • haha I do love SOA but Belfast isn't stuck in the bloody 80s!!!! I mean, it's been a few months since ive been in Belfast but Im pretty sure it hasnt changed that much haha!!! And those accents jesus christ haha!!! mon season 4 te fuck!!! ;)

  • Fucking twats.

  • What. The. Fuck? There's not a single person from Belfast who sounds remotely like this.

  • What is the diffrence between N irish accents and S irish accents?

  • titus is the man. irish is irish they all sound the same

  • @GodspeedHellbound no we dont ya retard theres shit loads a different accents that sound completely different in ireland and not one of them sounds like the stereotypical squeaky leprechaun accent you americas but on

  • That wrecks my fucking head, Only actual Irish people should be cast as Irish characters because Americans just dont have a fucking clue.

  • @PlanetAgnostic You have no idea what the use to do with fake italian accents in USA xD

The actors sound retarded and and pronounce words that don't even exist xD

  • @PlanetAgnostic And excluding Hugh Laurie, most British people doing an American Accent aren't that great, for example the guy who plays Jax, his accent is terrible.

  • hahahahahahahahahaha terrible just terrible, its like a bastard mix of North and South, it has an identity crisis

  • Jesus fucking christ thats the worst accent of north, south, east or west Ireland I have ever ever in my life heard.

  • hes getin the southern and northern accents mixed up. it annoys me how no actors ever do a good northern irish accent!

  • as an irishman i cant say that even the woman in the show who is irish sound fucking awful. n wats with the cop jeep, we have armoured jeeps over here not emmerdale farm jobs. i thought the sons travelled back in time the way they said ireland was

  • hes an awsome actor,,,, i can tell ya bout bad accents, bein from boston, i watched the Departed, gone baby gone, and both were great movies, but wow,, leo Decaprio is a great actor but FUCK,, his boston accent was horrible.. so this guys irish accent couldnt be that bad,, if it is, it fooled me,, hes still a good actor

  • @IRONSEAN7 It is that bad. Am from Belfast and it just is that bad

  • its like.. irish/scottish/british also called Australian<3

  • hes getten confused with the northern and southern accent and talking with a hint of both

  • Paula is Irish in real life so she's okay but Titus, the guy is from Connecticut born and raised.

  • that is a terrible attempt of the accent, completely off.

  • i love this accent ....FUCKING POSH

  • i don't know how the irish accent is.. but i hate titus welliver accent xd

  • ahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa wise up

  • oim teken moy famley howwm

  • FFS HE'S BUTCHERING THE IRISH HERE

  • What pisses me off even more than his terrible accent, is that the Scottish guy is now Irish.

  • @OwnageMountain hes still scottish in the show

  • @OwnageMountain If you're talking about Chibs, he's still Scottish in the show. He just married someone and moved to Ireland. Hence the confusion with some people.

  • twiddle dee dum twiddleesomething shockin

  • he sounds like a dub with a mouthful of honey,at best

  • Terrible attempt
