This piece is gonna be the death of me. I have to play it in orchestra, and I'm a cello. For once I kinda appreciate never getting the melody of songs for orchestras... T_T
And the others in my orchestra think it's fast, but not that fast when I described this song as being humanly impossible.
The funny thing about the bumblebee is that Academic Physians and scientists in general arounrd the world have stated that the bumblebee can not fly. Nobody has ever said anytyhing of the sort to the bumblebee . . . . and she flies!!!!!
I tried out on YouTube three different versions of this until I found one that has the right tempo to it, neither too fast nor too slow. Too be sure, it is not perfect; here and there are some stray notes that shoulod not come through perhaps due to faulty balance or clumsy direction. But still this is a lot better than other versions on this site. I could point out the spots, but I can't reproduce musical notation, and nobody would understand what I would be trying to descirbe anyway.
@alger3041 Is there a reason why you're trying to insult the intelligence of every musician who views this video?! "Nobody would understand what I would be trying to describe anyway," my eye! For pity's sake, all you need to point out any imperfections in ANY piece of music is a full musical score, the ability to read music and ears! You seem to have the erroneous idea that musicians strive for technical perfection -- um no, we strive for musical excellence which is something else entirely.
@oneandonlyErica:- Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov - was a talented Russian composer, 1844 - 1908 noted perhaps more for Scheherazade, but he was also wrote folk opera and Historical pieces. (The Snow Maiden, The Tale of Tsar Saltan being of the former.
@Sliepnir2006 yes... and it is belived by many that korsakov is the father of instrumentantion..... he also wrote the bubble bee if you know it erica.....
@oneandonlyErica Sorry for walking in on this conversation so late, and I don't know much about Rimsky Korsakov, but I do know that along with writing this song, he is also pretty famous for writing "Flight of the Bumblebee"
you should check out The Cadets 2010 (drum & bugle corp) show toy souldier (yes, that's how they are spelling it). They perform Dance of the Tumblers and Procession of the Nobles. It's a great show!
They play this background music in the Smurfs quite a bit

This sounds like it could be the music for a chase scene in some animated TV show.

@alger3041 You can use words to denote the musical notation; that's why we have language.

@boastring It's not "It's not a peice it's a piece," it's "It's not a peice it's a piece."
Notice the punctuation, or is this going a little too far...
