I will try it. Need to bring in fresh, homemade salsa for a harvest party. From all the videos that I've looked at of yours for recipes, even though you make so many different kinds of foods; they don't stick to you :). You are in perfect shape. Or you just make them for others :) You must be a personal trainer or in nutrition or something in the health field to retain such a perfect figure. Hope my husband and kids will love this recipe too!
@mismestera Thanks for your sweet compliment! I do have a lot of discipline in making sure that I eat only small portions of anything that has a lot of calories. I hope you enjoy Chef Jason's salsa--we love it!
Great video. In my opinion for my salsa I use fresh homegrown peppers, cilantro, and tomatoes. I also choose habaneros, jalapenos, serranos, cayenne, kung pao, and cherry bomb peppers.
I have never tried that, so I can't give you an answer. Obviously, you can buy canned salsa at the grocery store, so it is possible; I just don't know what procedure they use. Maybe someone will have some experience with this!
got all the basics for some serious salsa. Bet it tasted great!
If you ever want to try a variation of this, maybe a little chunkier with some red pepper sause you make yourself, let me know and i will be glad to provide :P
basically like, use the blender on tomatillios (green tomatoes are fine), red chillie's of your choice (i like arbols) and cook the spicey paste that comes out on low
Hand chop all the rest of your stuff, if you can get some fire-rosted romas, that's excelent, but raw romas are fine too. mix it all together and you get the best of both worlds.. the smokey cooked flavor in the pepper sause and a fresh flavor from your pico. :)
Thanks so much for sharing this! I can tell that you know what you are talking about! I think I'll be taking your tips next week! (I have company now, but will be free in a few days.) I am so happy to have your instructions! Thanks!!!
I believe it has to have tomato in some form--fresh, canned, or tomato sauce. There is already another type of pepper in the recipe, so I don't want to lead you in a direction that I don't think will work. Thanks for your question!
Yes, I have a good recipe. I will put it on my list of requests and get it uploaded after I pick up a few things from the grocery store. Thanks for the request!
What a great recipe! And so low calorie and healthy! Thank you for this. You can use salsa as a condiment over salad vs. salad dressing, or on cottage cheese or other low fat items for a kick. Betty, you are doing such a great job! Your Fan, Patsymd
Hi Betty, I want to try your salsa recipe but couldn't hear the ingredient before the final salt was added. Please tell what it is. thanks

Awesome Recipe! I would like to be able to can it, but would the heat ruin it?
