I agree that YouTube ought to "demote" videos with harsh language or content; however, muting entire videos or removing them just because of one or two "bad words" is a bit much.

Ok first off this is human nature, ppl are going 2 have opinions. if some1 feels that their child shouldnt watch youtube because they think its profane and inappropriate, dont go after the website and say its their fault. take a hint from me, just dont let them watch fucking youtube! get parental controls and actually learn how 2 use them instead of just giving up and saying it doesnt work.

I think those that use the internet should be mature enough to handle profanity and sexual innuendo maturely. If parents let a minor use the internet, they ought to be prepared for their child to run into profane material at one moment or another, whether it was the child's intent or not. Without filtering, profane material is merely unavoidable on the internet, as it is nothing more than an extensive bog of random graphic and literate material, with very few boundaries or limits. agreed?

Yes i agree that the people who use the internet should expect to see this kind of stuff, but are you saying thats its ok that this kind of stuff is on the internet for everyone to see. I don't think that it should be if i get on the internet i expect some almost naked girl to pop up on the side of the screen asking me if i want to check out "hot singles in my area?" Thats why i did not support this movement. I don't agree with what the world is coming to and i refuse to give in to the world.

Think of it as a stroll in the city, where things happen freely and randomly, and you have little to no control over anything. We are free to go out and walk, but we dont have any authority to tell other people what to do or how to behave, do we? And we leave our houses knowing beforehand that there are risks we have to be prepared to face, and there are things we cant control.

Oh, and if one should read the Company History right here, on YouTube, the first line says: "Founded in February 2005, YouTube is the leader in online video...". As long as it says this, Mr. GregSolomon cannot be considered wrong, because he said "back in 2005, when YouTube was founded...".

Now I'm not the most knowledgeable person in the world when it comes to political things or things related to the consistution but as far as I'm concerned and as far as I know, a public place would be just about anything that isn't marked as a private or that isn't a home. That said, I think the bar or whatever it was you and your friend were at and youtube, would be public. It would be one thing, as you say or enter a home and curse like you would at your own house. But this place is public.
