@MadCrow999 So? So do ten million people. Still, that doesn't make Ace a particularly good guitar player. I love KISS, it's a great band, but my comment had nothing to do with KISS as a band. It's a great band whose star guitar player's playing is under par, and whose worst song is probably I Was Made for Loving You. So if Malmsteen loves it, it makes perfect sense to me. He's also a horrible player.

@1216saab Compared to any good guitar player. Let's go back to 1974; there was Mick Ronson, Jimmy Page, Ry Cooder, Steve Howe, Brian May, Ritchie Blackmore, David Gilmour and many more. All those guitar players revolutionized music and inspired many to tbecome guitar players. Ace Frehley did not: KISS revolutionized the rock music show and were a quite cool rocking band. Good songs, make up, costumes and pyrotecnichs fueled KISS into the mainstream. This solo of Ace's is quite bad, sorry.

@MrMauNunez Agreed that Aces solos were always the same. But, He had a style of his own and sound that immediately hooked most of Kiss' songs. He was not about speed and theory but sound. This solo is a very poor example of Aces guitar abilities. It is nonsense at best.

alomejor Kiss podrias desir que e una de las mejores bandas del mundo, pero Ace Frehley definitibamente no y en este video se nota que de partida no sabe improvisar o que estaba muy alcoholisado ese dia x q se nota que esta tocando cualquier cosa, algo de blues, la fanfarria de las carreras de caballos, algo de tapeo, anda de estuctura, nada de nada.
