Don't listen to phredl! This is the same sort of mentality that drives people to refinish their colonial furniture to make it look "as new"-then when they have it appraised they are astonished to find that their little project cost them in excess of $60,000-and their "new" looking cabinet is now only worth $12,000:-(
I'm holding my breath.I notice a lot of our music(1920s) is vanishing. Those copyright company's could put these on CD and they would be lucky to sell 100 worldwide. The few people that enjoy this are slowly dying out..
Hi Lou: Thanks for this and your many other postings (and you're right.... the copyright companies wouldn't be able to sell jack). Cheers for Now. Doug --
Hi Lou! This is sooo good....it's dreamy!.....I love it...the music & the images go together like peas & carrots....thanks for this and all the other fine videos you have sent me! ;-)))

Oh-well I didn't mean to knock your friend-but one does reserve the right to raise the red flag when alarmed-;-)

I agree with you're premise that old victrolas should never be refinished, only cleaned up.

Get that sticker off the label!
phredl 3 years ago
There are two stickers. The record must have come from Europe. The one says"Koch" and the other"Chappell S.A. Paris"."Confessin'" is on the flip side.
Bigband78 3 years ago
Well then get both of them off!! They're probably the kind that peel off real easy if you wet them a bit.

The 3rd Reich sticker makes it valuable.,at least $100 to Art. It's staying on.

You might have a point there Lou.
