Have any of you thought that maybe Alexi just prefers to not write music in the same style as his earlier albums? That perhaps he grew out of a teenage fad? How many of you can say that you have the exact same taste in music as you did 5 years ago? I grew up on metal, and hated all else, but now I've actually expanded my abilities by listening to other music. You still have the old CoB albums, you still have Tokyo Warhearts, so stop whining, cause at the end of the day, its his band, not yours.

This is why I refuse to write metal songs with my band. No matter how much I love the music and I love playing it, crappy performances like these are just not worth it. If you're tired/too angry/overly nervous, this is what happens. I love COB, but they can never reproduce what they've done in a studio in a live situation.

No, I have never seen COB live for 2 reasons: 1. I live out in the middle of fuckin nowhere. Honestly, no one EVER comes to this stupid place. and 2. My parents are Christians and therefore hate any kind of metal. All I meant by my previous comment was that there are more occurrences of crappy shows in metal. I am by NO means saying that metal sucks, all I am saying is that I would never want to play it live. It's just my opinion, and no one has to share it with me, that's it.

Go see a band like In Flames or Lamb of God fucking tear it up live. They make amazing records and back it up with performances that are just as good.

I think it's also like everyone else says, even though I hate to admit it, Alexi isn't what he used to be in terms of a live performer. Also, in big concerts like this, the sound recording system makes everything sound really weak. I don't know if it's a bad mix or what.

Yeah, I know what concert you're talking about. Their performance that night was really outstanding, and I enjoyed watching it. I think that people are getting the wrong idea about what I said earlier. It's not that I don't like COB (far from it) it's just that I think there is a larger occurrence of crappy performances in metal, as opposed to punk or rock n roll. And I mean they all look really tired during this show, so I think you're right about a bad mix or something.

@Troblivion This was the only COB video to be posted on Distort Inc.'s Vimeo page. I simply ripped it from there. If there was a DVD, I would throw all my money at them in an attempt to purchase one. Sadly, it doesn't look like anymore footage is going to be released unless it's leaked. I'm really into concert bootlegs (especially HD) and if more ever shows up, I'll be the first to post it.
