Yammy is what you call dumb muscle. He's the brute of the Espada, because in terms of sheer, physical might, he more than compensates for his total lack of brains. God knows, he'd probably equal Wonderweiss in a battle of wits, but he is the most powerful Espada.

Grimmjow is my favorite Arrancar. He's strong and cunning, and actually makes an effort to use his head during battle. Even if his power level is nowhere near Aizen, he still fights someone of Shinji's calibre to a stalemate.

Baragon would age his legs without him being able to do a thing about it, Stark is stronger than he appeared (the captain that he fought was probably second only to yamamoto) and ulquiorra is the strongest espada. Aizen didnt know about his second ressurection.

@dungbell20 shinji has enough power to be at the same level with grimmjow release, he is able to maintain his hollowification much longer than ichigo ever did, he has the power to fire cero, he has his shikai which would be able to trick grimmjow very easily, it took aizen 3 times to figure out his shikai, and aizen used his kyogha zugetsu to counterattack it, and griimjow is not that smart, and we havent seen shinji's bankai, so shinji is at the same level that griimjow's release

@KanedaC no vizard beat an espada that was the higher rank than grimmjow. nnorita was beaten by kenpachi, ulquiorra ichigo, tia harribel aizen, barrigan was only defeated by a vizard because he had been in a fight earlier and it wasnt due to power, stark Kyōraku and it wasnt grimmjows resurreccion he was using, he couldnt use that due to the lose of his arm, i will admit it would be a close fight but due to grimmjows massive power difference he would win.

Yammy was not the strongest in brute force.

Yammy's strongest trait is strength, hes not smart and never thinks of a plan to fight. When hes at full power he has enormous strength that are beyond all the other Espadas which is why hes rank 0, Espada rankings are ranked by strength. But just because hes rank 0 doesnt make him the best hes preferably the worst since he never thinks he just charges and attack which is why other Espadas out class him, so basically yammys a complete dumbass but compensates with his power.

No, the Espadas are ranked by their power, you're thinking of the Arrancars that are lower than the Espadas. After rankings 1-10/0-9 all other rankings does not matter, in which case a Arrancar ranked 79 can be stronger than an Arrancar ranked 14. But in the Espadas case a rank 9 can't beat a rank 5 or 4. Espadas ranking = Power, Arrancar Rankings = Order of birth.
