as a Canadian living in a small town, I forget how fortunate I am not to live in such violence. my heart cries and bleeds for these lost souls cut down before their time. As a mother I cry and as a human a weep. No one should live with the fear of death!

How can anyone dislike this video. You have no heart if you hate this. This is the hardest and deepest shit I have ever heard in my life. Everyone should listen, acknowledge, and spread this to let everyone know this.
Oh my God. I am so heartbroken from watching this. I hope they read the comments. I am sorry for your grief and applaud your talent. You two can make a huge difference.
Right on that stage is where death ends and life begins. Amazing poetry. Powerful witness to something that should not be. Thanks gentlemen...for feeling...for being...for courage...for love...for vision.
I posted this link to my Facebook, I think this was absolutely beautiful. it' has gotten 8 likes so far and it hasn't even been up for 24 hours. hearing what these men had to say hit home for me, I'm really glad they spoke out.
untold emotion comes frm this poem and the realization that something frm the past will always hunt our future...."IM 18 I PLAY PICK UP BASKETBALL GAMES WITH GHOST" the feelings coming frm these 2 are real and until we as a nation overcome our past this will always hunt us
Wow, this something i can honestly understand and identify with. This is a reminder of what really goes on in the hood. Not that shit you in cookie cutter rapper's lyrics and videos
@condiersea, I'm sorry about what you go through but damn. He was right in what he said and that's just the truth. They never said that 'race' would get them killed, they said that their AGE would have them killed by Monday. And in all actuality, how many people of color who experience the same of these victims really make the news? I can count on one hand. I'm glad someone did point out that this crime is becoming genocide! But hey, who am I to say
great poem. its just makes me kind of upset that they always have to mention race. that every white person is safe. that we always have it good. im white and im from Chicago and people die in my neighborhood too.
@condiersea I understand and I'm sorry that people die in your neighborhood but to say that black people are dying is not to say that white people aren't..
I swear the first time I watched this I had tears in my eyes. This is so POWERFUL. My favorite line was, "Because every intersection can become Virginia Tech." <3.
shivering, hair standing up on my arms, face warm, about to cry and i've seen this about 13 times before. i've never seen a poem captivate me emotionally as much as this. i really wish this (what they're talking about) would stop.. it really isn't fair and shouldn't happen..
if people weren't so ignorant and stupid, rolling up on people just because the color clothes/hats/shoes that people wear, and claim streets that they have no fucking rights to then poems like this will never need to be written and presented.
I love this poem over the past few days I have listened to it repeatedly. It touched me. Knowing that I can relate to this I broke down in tears. I have lost too many people I loved to to barrel of a gun. This touches my heart like no other poem has ever done. Praying for God to put an end to kids my age not even living to see 21 and I'm only 16
