CAUTION: It was just brought to my attention, this DM10 brain Will NOT take sounds from 3rd party sound companies software. The product manager for Alesis said so himself in an interview from Aug. 2009 - So what's the story? If it will accept the sounds, I will buy one for sure.
@gibson00000000000000 , didn't you read what I wrote? I heard the The product manager for Alesis said so himself. He was on a video here on youtube somewhere. Try and test it yourself somehow before you purchase it. I'd like to test it myself also. Please let me know if you find anything out ok? Thanks. Bam
@johnbambammorgan well, im planning on getting the alesis dm10 studio kit sometime before christmast, but anyway the ability to take sounds from drum softwares is not a priority to me, especially because of the 100 kits, 100 user kits, and the 1,000+ sounds, but if u hav any info on it please notify me as well
@gibson00000000000000, Ok Will Do! But IF this brain will ever accept BFD type sounds, I strongly suggest you do it, because this set will be REAL Professional Drum sounds. But let's see if the brain will actually accept them! Bam
Hey Mutlicams. I'm planning to buy the DM10 as well. If you got the time i would love to here your personal review on it (been having trouble finding any review) I play metal so I'm hoping this would cover the basic. My main concern would be whether or not I could use a double bass pedal (not sure how it would hook up) or if it is possible to purchase another DM10 bass pedal. Thanks for reading this and hopefully I'll hear back from ya! ROCK ON!!!!!!!
It's officially support to use two kickdrums, on alesis site they write this:
"You can use virtually any single or double kick pedal with the RealHead Kick Pad, or split the DM10's kick input with a Y-cable and connect an optional second kick pad for the pedal feel you prefer."
@DooDooBoots The bass pedal isn't electric, its an actual bass pedal with a beater that hits a pad which triggers the bass drum sound....the same as when you use your arms to hit the snare and cymbal pads. All you would have to do for double bass, is buy a double bass pedal... There would be 2 beaters then, so when you do double bass both beaters hit the bass pad, and a bass sound will be heard on every hit. You could make a bass drum sound by simply hitting the bass drum pad with the stick...
Multicams from where did you order it? I am also planning to buy one of these too,but i live i an apartment where i must have a quiet drumset... I have a td-3 and even now my neighbours are complaining.. So please, when you have them upload a vid with the sound of the cymbals and the pads!! I live in Greece and the stores here won't bring any alesis drumset to try...
