I hate to say that he is lucky(because his entire situation was terrible) but he was really lucky that he didn't break one of his legs as well from that drop. That would have been even worse.
Uhhhh yeah I didn't like this movie @ all. Simply because who is dumb enough to do that. By himself???? That's asking for trouble. You say it's an awesome movie. What's awesome about a guy with a cam who made the dumbest desicion of his life??? Nothing
@JulianAIDC your an idiot many things make this movie amazing ,acting, directing, true story, editing , soundtrack, you obv should go run back to your crappy remakes at block buster.
@BrockBeckett His name actually is spelled Aaron I think but when he was stuck down in the canyon he said he carved just 4 letters of his name on the canyon wall (Aron) and "R.I.P" underneath it. So I think that is why it is Aron now.
@randirae00 I'm pretty sure that he would have took the time to do that if it was Aaron. And if he wrote his name wrong while he was down there I don't think that people would start to spell his name like that.
@BrockBeckett I'm not 100% sure if it was spelled Aaron or Aron I just thought it might be from what he said in his tv special. I very may well be wrong I just thought from what I heard him say it sounded like his name might have been spelt with to a's. I dont know why he would say he only spelt four letters of his name out but then again like I said I could be wrong.
@daspoon456 If you look at his book (127 hours between a rock and a hard place) under the authors name it says aron ralston. Not everybody's name is spelt the same
One of the best true story movies ever... and theres some great realistic fiction ones like forrest gump... but i give this movie 900/1000 bubba gump fried shrimp.
that boulder was waiting for him since the day he was born, they were united in a comological ceremony, on that day the canyon and aron became one and even after he got free, the aron who went down that crak in the earth died and a new aron got out of that place.
@blackzabbathfan yeah i'm a huge phish fan and that definitely isn't phish (dammit, i wish they'd kept true to that part of the story)... so who knows. any chance he mentions what song it was in the book?
@dasimon26 he says a few lyrics, i'm not sure if this is the song when he fell but it says: "i fear i never tild the story of the ghost/ that i once new and talked to, of whom i never boast."
I am also a phish fan, if you know the name of the song, would you let me know?
@blackzabbathfan yeah yeah that song's "ghost" (from the album "the story of the ghost"). definitely one of my favorites. a funky ass song on a funky ass album. check out the version on live phish vol. 11 (not sure of the concert date or venue, sorry). sooooo groovy
Franco's performance was incredible. Everything was nuanced and genuine. Like the look on his face in this clip when he got stuck, like tonnes of thoughts came rushing to his head all at the same time, like how he was gonna get out of it and how long he'd be there for.
that's what you get titface for not listening to the rocks -how can you possibly go rock-climbing whilst deaf to the world in which you are enveloped?!
They flawlessly portrayed this true story...SO damn accurately, but so beautifully somehow.
its pretty hard to keep an almost 2hour movie on 1 character w/ his hand wedged between rocks...yet it happened to be one of the most fascinating movies of the year.
everything from the realism, to the poetic flashbacks and visions he sees...just EVERYTHING. it was beautiful, and haunting at the same time.
@ace7239 Phish! he's a huge Phish fan - he said in his book that he was listening to a live show that he'd attended a few months before this happened.
i think its so sad that this is actully a true story but its really cute at the end wen they use actuall guy
