@axolotlwithexotics - glad you enjoy them. Yes there are many "survival workshops" around that don't deserve the name. Michigan---I was almost out there a few weeks ago. 14 hour drive. Not too bad :-) And you would be coming over to a beautiful place to top it off :-)
@northwoodsdude -If yoy have a solid 4 feet of insulation on top and 4 stuffed layers of insulation inside- plus a door and the snow on the roof you can stay warm down to -40. I have stayed in such shelters down to -35 and stayed warm with no sleeping bag.
Thank you so much for all the great videos, Have a wonderfull New Years Eve and my best wises going into 2011. I've learned definately more than a thing or two already so can't wait to learn and discover more from you about Mother Nature!
Beautiful views and beautiful words. In turn I would like to express my appreciation for you and the skills you communicate through your videos. Thank you very much. Be happy and inspired in all that you do.
Great video! I wish I lived in Vermont. I live in michigan and a "survival class" teaches you how to use a compass.

-10! That's pretty well insulated if you could stay warm..No sleeping bag? Or did you rely on floor insulation and warm clothes?

Great winter views! I remember seeing your debris shelter in the rain. It's very cool to see it again in winter. Thanks for sharing!
